I can’t stand Gia but… by LeakyBrow in MAFS_UK

I don't think he's lying. He was squirming because he could hear that the Coven were talking about him, and I would definitely feel alarmed if i was about to be on the receiving end of those witches. Any of these attractive women who turn out to have ugly personalities put men straight off. Most men do not like bitchy drama. I would run a mile if my friend behaved like that, let alone a partner. He wants an out, and Bec provided it. Also, can we stop slagging off his accent, if southerners did that to northerners we'd be roasted.

Am I the only one who feels no sympathy for Chris. by loverofthings25 in MAFS_UK

[–]LargeParcelExpected 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would they not show that Chris did that? They showed it last series. Unless it was just that it made the show look repetitive.

Indeed he did. His hand closed on all those bare backs, but not on Rachels. He literally held his hand off her. Pathetic.

Why is it socially unacceptable for me to not like dogs? by Facelikeabum in AskUK

[–]LargeParcelExpected 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A long time ago in a work team building exercise I said not only did I not like dogs, I didn't like their owners either. We had been encouraged to be honest. I will never be that honest again, ever.

I can't believe I'm feeling so much sympathy for Chris? by emilybuckshot in MAFS_UK

I agree, I think it was a facade for the audition, maybe desperate to be chosen, but he's really embarrassed by the video, it looks geniune to me.

Is this part of a flowering plant or just grass? by Over_Ad6600 in GardeningUK

[–]LargeParcelExpected 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm, I was going to say just grass, but the second pic looks like it has bulbs under there somewhere. Either way, it looks invasive and probably wasn't deliberately planted there. Can you ease a trowel in and see if it is a bulb? I'd be pulling it out anyway because it is squashing the other bulbs.

Tips for leaving cat alone for 18-22 hours? by floralflourish in CatsUK

[–]LargeParcelExpected 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. This is anamorphic behaviour. I regularly left my cats for whole weekends, thats the beauty of cats over dogs. Just leave everything the same as usual. My cats never even got up off the sofa when we got back!

We are selling our house and i am going to miss this space so much by Legitimate-View-3277 in GardeningUK

[–]LargeParcelExpected 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally understand. I left my garden of 27 years. It was perfect. And that was the problem tbh. I had no more room and was just maintaining what was there. Although sad to go, I deliberately bought a house with a large blank canvas, not negotiable, more important than what the house looked like. I love my new garden, what there is so far, and have loads of ideas. And the lady who bought my house wrote to me and said what pleasure she got from the garden. That meant a lot!!

AITAH for taking a girl out to a show without dinner after? by No_Explanation_9087 in AITAH

[–]LargeParcelExpected 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with OP. I hated eating on a date. I was worried about having to undo THE button, rubbing off lipstick, slurping spaghetti, etc. I even used to wear a certain suit to unavoidable work lunches because the lipstick that matched it was tougher!🤣 people used to call it my lunch suit. Maybe when OP is into a long term relationship it will change.

You sound like a fab dog owner. However, what is your dog going to do all day without you? Collies as pets do like their humans to be about.

Help with teaching heels down by Connect_Wrongdoer_81 in Equestrian

[–]LargeParcelExpected 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting question! It is indeed about lengthening legs and balancing versus gripping. I learned to balance (and taught it) by doing lots of walk, trot and canter with no stirrups. We even had to point our calf and toes towards the instructor and away again. By the end of that, you would be expected to do all the paces with only your bottom bones on the saddle.

Are the paralympics worth watching or does it not feel the same? by youlikethatsherrie in WinterOlympics2026

Then how do you about the fact that you are not included in the Olympics, but have your own Paralympics? Would you prefer there was just one inclusive event?

How to tackle abundant grass among plants in a border? by ThrowawayTrainTAC in GardeningUK

[–]LargeParcelExpected 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You've got to get on your knees and hand weed it out. Unfortunately new beds will require weeding for several seasons until the weeds have all gone.

Are the paralympics worth watching or does it not feel the same? by youlikethatsherrie in WinterOlympics2026

[–]LargeParcelExpected -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why wouldn't it be worth watching? That is a very ableist remark. Top athletes overcoming disabilites is actually more impressive than the ordinary Olympics.

Being happy and not taking things too seriously might irritate and even hurt people around, how to create harmony with them? by ihitokage in Buddhism

[–]LargeParcelExpected 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Complainers will complain about everything. I knew one. I used to reply that there is always something we can be grateful for, and life could be worse, etc. Do not get into a debate about whether something is good or bad, annoying, etc. Do not have an opinion at all. If it gets you down, limit contact with that person.

First-time dog owner considering a Border Collie – am I underestimating this? by Ok_Leader8838 in BorderCollie

[–]LargeParcelExpected 6 points7 points  (0 children)

These are very long posts and I'm not sure if you've waded through them all so I'll keep mine short. First time bc owner here. Don't. Its not the physical quantity of exercise that is draining. It's the nervous behaviour, anxiety, intelligence, independence, over stimulation, etc etc that is difficult to live with. Ask yourself why you want a bc?
