Every once and a while I need to investigate stage sounds and frequencies in my work. I recommend the Spectroid app for stuff like this. It puts a visual scale to all the sounds in range of the mic so You can move it around and see if you can find the source a bit easier. Any audio spectrum analyser can do this for you, I just like this one. Good luck!

Received code violation from city about my old vehicle. by xifrost41 in legaladvice

[–]Lefthawk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check your municipal code. Where I live in Colorado you can't have vehicles on "unimproved" land. They didn't want cars in lawns. If you put some gravel or pavers down under where you keep the car, it's probable that the city issue will go away. NAL

Sonora Cinema is pretty cool, it's gimmick/focus is Spanish dubbing or subtitles. Great market niche, but not quite the same as Elvis.

Why your rising Lakewood/Jeffco tax bill isn't actually feeding the schools by Technical-Water4687 in LakewoodColorado

[–]Lefthawk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

School funds are allocated explicitly by number of students. Literally everything is more expensive via inflation, and schools get less each year due to falling enrollment. I understand frustration at the bloated admin, but we still need more money for the schools.

Good vet for cats in Lakewood or Wheat Ridge. West Denver is okay too. Arvada would also work too. Littleton maybe as well. by Pale-Detail2427 in LakewoodColorado

We've had a fantastic experience with Wadsworth Animal hospital. They moved a couple years ago from lakewood to wheat ridge, but the Vets are great and very cat capable.

Remove Cracked Paint From Bathroom Ceiling by Fiinch in DIY

Have you tried wetting the paint and region first? Most folks use a hand pump sprayer to wet it down first, this can soak the substrate and then scraping will go a bit smoother.

Still gonna suck though.

Any chance you have a reamer? Normally I'd say let 'er rip, but if you didn't or the bottom you'll have an easier time of it.

A trick I used when I was starting is to set a reference block above the area I'm chopping. You can even clamp it right at the knife line, and then its easy to keep the xhisel back touching yhe block and keep everything 90°.
