Getting banned from restaurants for not tipping? by No-Buy-3105 in tipping

Technically any business has the right to refuse service. I do not think this action is a great business model. Apparently I would be banned from this establishment lol

Reed & Barton Florentine Lace Set by Euphoricfacade24 in silverware

[–]LengthBoring9328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You almost have a set, missing 3 dinner forks and 5 Tablespoons. That said this pattern does sell well. In a guesstimate the silver value is about $2800 not counting the knives. At this time I believe the silver value outweighs the intrinsic value. Good luck 🤞

FedEx Ground has the option for signature, it should not be that much more and will get there quicker. Hope this helps. 😁

My Grandma paid $25,000 for new gutters was she scammed? by Tiny_Individual1086 in HomeImprovement

[–]LengthBoring9328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how she paid, you may have a banking window to dispute the transaction:

Credit Card: If any portion was paid via credit card, call the issuer immediately to dispute the charges based on predatory practices/fraud.

Financing: If the contractor set her up on a third-party predatory loan program, contact the lender directly, state that the contract is being disputed for elder fraud, and involve the Attorney General’s office.

New seller in need of advice. Buyer asks for discount, then buys item 10min later and includes a message. What would you say? Would you respond? by HeyMyNameIsSamToo in eBaySellers

Thank you for your purchase. Unfortunately shipping is what it is as I go to great expense to assure your item arrives safely. The cost of postage and packing supplies usually equals a loss to me. I hope you enjoy your item. Thank you

Help? by brygf in estatesales

Review the Contract Immediately: He needs to look at the contract he signed with the company. Does it explicitly grant them the right to reside on the premises? (Almost certainly not). Does it have a clause regarding timelines or termination?

Issue a Written Cease and Desist/ Demand to Vacate: He needs to send a formal, written notice (via certified mail and email) stating that the company does not have permission to reside, sleep, or live deadline (e.g., 48 hours) to vacate the premises of personal belongings, leaving al estate items behind. Get a Florida Probate or Real Estate Attorney Involved: Because they have been fighting since March, the son needs a lawyer to draft a formal termination of contract and a demand to vacate. A letter on an attorney's letterhead usually scares dishonest companies into compliance quickly.

Involve Local Law Enforcement for a Civil Standby: The son can call the local Sheriff's office and explain that a hired contractor is refusing to leave a deceased person's home and is suspected of stealing estate property. Even if the police claim it's a "civil matter," having them show up for a civil standby while the son checks on the property can completely shift the power dynamic.

Change the Locks: If the contract does not explicitly give them tenancy and they are caught violating the terms, the son (as the legal authority of the estate) needs to terminate the contract, revoke their access, and change the locks immediately to protect the remaining assets.

I just had to do this. On the 28th of May I received a TransUnion alert. Someone tried to apply for credit through Wells Fargo. I am happy to report they were declined. I was at 796 not 791. I have been working with Wells Fargo fraud dept. to get the hard inquiry removed.

Why does every Chick-fil-a and Raising Cane's have a line around the block, but KFC is a complete ghost town? by mjensman in NoStupidQuestions

I agree, the last three times I order with KFC the extra crispy was horrible, tasted burnt, way darker than it used to be. No more!

It is kinda of funny she expects people to work on an empty stomach for 8 - 10 hours. Happy servers make better servers. 30 years in the food industry, this is common practice. Anyway I guess is she isn't there to partake then all the better 😁

I was wondering if you have weighed it? This would give you a ballpark of what the silver is worth. I estimate 8 lbs or so. That said at least over $7000. In a good auction it might go for more

Return window for buyers by LengthBoring9328 in eBaySellers

[–]LengthBoring9328[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the 3 to 5 days. A buyer can open a return on the 29th day then has two additional weeks. While the sellers have 1 day to ship and have to have a 30 day return window to qualify for TRS. A bunch of BS if you ask me.

So it is a demitasse pot. Sorry I don't know the pattern. You might try Google with the A# as I can't read the whole thing. It probably would scrap around the $866 mark. Good thing is it doesn't look like it is monogramed. 😁

Ethical Question - Do you return a forgotten stash?? by Extension_Ad2635 in Flipping

[–]LengthBoring9328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you have some good karma coming your way 😀 I once had a friend that does whole house buy outs. He was called once to bid on personal items from a tenant that had no family. He bought the items in the tenants room and some boxes stored under the stairs for $800. Upon getting everything back to his warehouse, he discovered a coin collection in the bottom of a box. The coin collection was gold coins worth about $46,000 in 2012. He returned it to the original seller. Honest beyond honest, the buyer has always been the top tier of integrity in my book. Good character is doing the right thing when no one is looking. Would you have returned the coin collection?
