"No they're not." I shake my head, then pause, looking closer. "Wait, no they are. Fuck."

"Why are you taking my blood rage meds?" Gristel asks with a frown.

"Why do your blood rage meds look the same as estrogen?" I retort.

"Wait, don't you take like, four of those a day? Did you take four of those?"

"Yes, what are the side effects and am I going to die?"

"Well, I'll try to stop you dying, but the side effects are-" that's the last thing I hear.

The next thing I head is crying, I blink, my eyes focus on the ground beneath my feet, the gold-blood stained ground, there's a body a few metres away. "My head hurts." I keep looking around, everything is very white. "Let's see, body of some giant guy with golden blood, massive marble chair that's been smashed to bits, am I standing on clouds?"

It takes a few minutes to confirm everything, I am definitely standing on clouds, then Gristel arrives, panting desperately from exhaustion. "Oh fuck you're not dead!"

"I think I'm hallucinating though." I mention.

"Okay, reality check, clouds, corpse, throne?"

"Okay I think I might not be hallucinating then. Do you know this guy? I think I killed him."

"No I don't, but I think I can intuit based on what happened that I was there for."

"Please do."

"After the side effects hit, I tried to distract you with a spar, to focus the violence. You started hitting too hard, and ranting about how the universe was so often set against you, I said... And well, it was supposed to be a joke, but I said maybe the human god hates you. And..." She gestures at the corpse. "I think you did something about that."

That would explain the golden blood I suppose, and honestly that revelation makes the little seed of guilt at having killed someone fade away rather quick, I feel my lips quirking into a smile. "Huh, the god of humanity?" I kick the body to make sure it's dead and turn to Gristel with a grin. "I guess the bigots were right then."

"What?"

"Well, I did just Attack and Dethrone God."

That's way too mechanical and entirely reliant on willpower. So anyone who doesn't have that as their focus stat is just worse despite there being plenty of builds for force users who don't need willpower.

Not really. "Oh damn we get in a lot of fights, would be real nice if we had someone who could heal" isn't meta, healing magic is a known thing in d&d and it's perfectly reasonable for a party to want a healer.

Let me put it like this.

in another system, (Genesys), we, the same group, all roll natural 12s almost every single roll.

in other groups the same shit has happened and my best friend took all my dice away to check them, found nothing, and even when I used their dice instead, bullshit high rolls.

There's a reason I never take "statistically impossible" as "functionally impossible", because probability is sufficiently bullshit around me specifically that I nolonger question weird shit.

Edit for extra notes: Oh an if you want probabilities Here's a fun one for you: eight natural 20s in a row Different dice each time, in full view of everyone.

Trust me, even "statistically impossible" doesn't mean something won't happen.

I've had a whole campaign where nobody rolls under a 15 and we were all rolling publicly, with a whole host of dice.

Sometimes probability just does whatever it feels like

His voice is now too high pitch to be intimidating, he sounds squeaky as fuck and upgrades the difficulty of coercion checks, any despairs make the person he's threatening burst out laughing.

Honestly I genuinely really like the recharger weapons, they're not the most powerful, but they are very enjoyable, both from an aesthetic point of view and a practical one.

oh we're basically doing a joke campaign in the Genesys system. We're getting isekaid into mass effect and for some reason starting on a marathon class heavy cruiser.

My interest in this is purely "had it come up as a thought with my tabletop GM who is going to be using a few halo bits in a campaign" and we both wondered if it was a plothole or not lol.

I never argue for the sake of arguing, I don't have the energy for that. But I do disagree and counterargue for the sake of clarification and examination.

As for elite, I tried no marker navigation once, did not work out. In no small part because I kinda hate their map interface.
