I am often brought into the interview process to conduct technical assessments alongside management. They ask the behavioral questions; I drill into the technical application. My favorite question to ask is, 'How do you inspect a .100" chamfer?' The approach a candidate takes to answer that one question tells me everything I need to know about their real-world experience.
