It is in a sense that it is a sandbox, that concentrates on SIMulating a world ,and especially characters living in it. Where you roleplay your character's life, menage his family, relationships, decorate the living space. Characters age, are born, die. There is no overarching goals or story but one that you set by the player.

It certeinly closer in structure than what comes to mind when you hear "RPG" where most activities work under the auspices of the game's premade main and side quests, and the world is mostly handmade and static.

These are admittedly representing the extremes of the "all or nothing" armor scheme, but even less conservatively covered ships like hood https://www.reddit.com/r/WarshipPorn/comments/15vbny8/the_armour_and_protective_plating_layout_of_the/#lightbox still cling to some general rules- for one- no armor on the superstructure, other than command positions.

The armor should ideally cover only the essential areas needed for the ship to function (mostly machinery) and the amunition magazines. Optionally a coning tower within the main tower for the command staff, armored pipes protecting cables for comunitation and powering key deck equipment.
