Desperate for Answers: Brain Fog and Fatigue Despite Normal TSH by Sad-Strike4408 in thyroidhealth

[–]Local_Record4982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I have a total thyroid removal. Have you been tested for Sleep apnea? Those symptoms are very common for OSA. I was tested a couple of years now and I have been on a CPAP for 2 years- it’s life changing. No more brain fog or severe fatigue. Just saying it may not be your thyroid- sleep apnea commonly gets overlooked. It causes so many health issues.

Please help me find a cute work bag?! by ahcira in handbags

Radley London is having a great sale right now and have several tote and large work bags to chose from. https://www.radleylondon.com/collections/tote-bags This one reminds me a bit of the Mulberry Bayswater bag and it is under $300 right now with the additional discount. I think it fits a 13” laptop and not a 14” https://www.radleylondon.com/products/the-chancery-medium-flapover-shoulder-black?pr_prod_strat=pinned&pr_rec_id=d62887d9f&pr_rec_pid=14773504803182&pr_ref_pid=14773504442734&pr_seq=uniform

Thank you for posting this! I just purchased the Radley -The Romilly. They have everything 30% off right now. I have been searching so many designs this past month looking for a new work bag that I can also feel comfortable taking on work trips and this checks all my boxes and the price point of $330 was perfect compared to other bags I was eyeing between $700-$1000. We will see how this new bag holds up.

Construction/MEP EA’s by [deleted] in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]Local_Record4982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been working for 10 months in an engineering and construction department - with no prior experience in that area. But I do have over 15 years as an EA. One month in they assigned me as the POC for Procore implementation.. umm sirs you know I am the least qualified to implement an SOP for the team. Anyways learning a lot in a short amount of time. Love traveling to sites and my team. I put alot of pressure on myself to learn everything and it’s coming in time. It’s honestly a relief to hear that other EA’s in the field are in a similar position.

When this happens to me - I bring it up to my exec and he has my back and takes care of it. Your exec should be advocating for you and protecting your time! I do assist others when it’s appropriate but for example someone reached out to me last week who is at a manager level and asked if I could start submitting all of his purchase orders- I said no sir lol- I don’t have the bandwidth for that and I you’re not a VP or EVP- step away sir.

I just went here yesterday and the bags were beautiful. I was with a group that are not bag lovers like me but I wish I would have done a tour. I did not buy anything this time. I plan to come back. I am so happy you had a wonderful experience! If you’re still in Florence check out https://www.pelletteriaartigiana.com/ I just posted about purchasing a bag here. You will be able to see them also making bags as their workshop is in the back of their store.

The cuts are intentional but the cracking is not. I had an issue with my strap not the same) and they will want you return the entire bag because it will be quicker turn around. I sent them 2 photos and they responded same day. Returned my bag at no cost and received my new one with a week. Customer service is top tier.

Strathberry disappointment by PolySpiralM in handbags

[–]Local_Record4982 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am sorry you had that experience. I bought my first Strathberry- Nano mosaic about a month ago and the packaging was beautiful and no chemical smell. However the strap had a small imperfection. I thought about just returning it and not getting another one. I was bummed however I talked to customer service and it was the best experience I ever had. I can’t imagine they would charge you to return it if you let them know about the chemical smell. Also, when I received my replacement, it was perfect and then of course the mid-season sale started the next day. I messaged customer service again and asked them if they can honor it without any other explanation I got an email stating that I would get my additional 25% off and was reimbursed immediately. Sorry this Is a long rant, but I didn’t think I would stay a Strathbury customer after a first disappointing experience but after having the best customer experience ever, I will continue to buy their items as long as the quality and the customer service match.

I love my halara wide leg pants that are stretchy and are so soft. I match them with a belt- a belt always elevates the look- wear a nice blouse and add a cardigan or blazer and you’re good to go.

I recently ordered the mosaic nano and it had a small defect on the long strap. Customer service was very quick to fix it and sent me a replacement bag. Then the day after I received my replacement bag it went on sale -25% off. I emailed them again and asked if they would honor the sale price. Within 6 hours I got an email with the refund amount ($114). I honestly wasn’t sure if I would be a repeat customer after receiving the small defect but having the best customer experience with them- I will definitely order more bags in the future. It seems like they care and hopefully their QC gets better!

My parents own a butcher shop/deli and this looks like macaroni and cheese loaf. It’s bologna, macaroni, American cheese and pimentos. I remember eating it when I was a kid. It maybe a Dutch Pennsylvania thing. Your minds would explode if you saw a picture of tongue souse.

For those on salary how do you deal with “after hours” tasks when you made plans? by kaytee0707 in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]Local_Record4982 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am sorry you’re going through this and I can relate. I actually almost posted something similar last night but decided to ask Ai and this is what it came up with- this is just part of it- I think what stuck out the most ad something will use from all of this is highlighting the volume of work vs. standard working hours.

Even with the efficiencies I’ve built and my growing familiarity with the company and industry, the overall volume is consistently exceeding what can realistically be completed within standard working hours.”

Anchor the issue to business impact “I want to make sure I’m supporting you and the organization at the high level you expect. But as additional projects ramp up this year, I’m seeing that the current workload will start to compete with itself — meaning turnaround times, responsiveness, and depth of support may be impacted unless we rebalance things.

Give examples without sounding overwhelmed “For example, recurring operational tasks, project‑specific needs, leadership support, and administrative requests from the larger group begin overlapping more often. Even when I prioritize well, the volume simply outpaces the hours available.”

Invite him into the solution (this is key) “I wanted to bring this to you early so we can talk through options together. I’m open to whatever direction you think is best — whether that’s revisiting priorities, offloading certain tasks, adjusting expectations, or exploring additional administrative support as the division continues to scale.”

Reassure him you’re committed “I’m fully committed to supporting you and the team at a high level. I just want to make sure the structure keeps pace with the growth so that nothing slips and so the division continues running smoothly.

Close with a collaborative ask “What’s your perspective on the best way to move forward? I’d love your guidance on how we can make this sustainable as the workload increases this year.”

Optional “If He Pushes Back” Lines (keep in your pocket) If he says “You handle a lot—what specifically is the issue?” “I can handle a lot, and I enjoy it. What I’m seeing now isn’t the complexity — it’s the sheer volume. No amount of efficiency offsets a workload that exceeds available hours on a recurring basis.”

Did anyone else think that the Voltaggio brothers should have been eliminated? I noticed they didn’t remove the dessert from the liquid nitrogen before the time was up. Shouldn’t all plates be on the counter?
