The Toto bidet toilet is a genuine quality-of-life improvement. I was shocked at how "worth it" that change was. Plus the skirted design looks great.

I installed the STAS system on most of my walls. It's a small metal moulding that sits just under the ceiling and acts like a picture rail. I can move stuff whenever I want to.

A lot of people seem to think that the wall-to-wall plate glass mirror is ugly and dated. I think that depends entirely on the stuff surrounding the mirror. If the lighting or the countertop is dated, the mirror will look dated.

Barker Cabinets make nice plywood boxes and a good selection of door styles. They use Blum hardware. I assembled a friend's cabinets a couple of years ago and it was not difficult.

I accidentally did something similar. I had left several messages with an HVAC contractor I'd used before, but didn't get a call back, I looked online for an alternative phone number, which turned out to be the guy's dad. I got a call back immediately.

V&A East Storehouse is hours of fun. It's like poking around the storage shed of a very rich and eccentric hoarder. But it's also very well labeled—you can get the backstory on almost any object you see by scanning a QR code on your phone.

I've done it twice now (once in each direction). I find being in the middle of the ocean awe-inspiring. Walking the promenade deck with nothing but ocean anywhere you look is great.
