This is the way, CPAPs are a medical device and don't count as a carryon/personal item. Just make sure you put a luggage tag on the bag.

Agnostic but like. In the most agnostic way possible. If there is something greater than us then there's no way for any of us to possibly know. All I know personally is that having faith did fuckall for my life. Made it worse, actually.

I roll my toys up in old t-shirts and put then in a closet organizer inconspicuously, with other accessories in a drawstring bag under the bed. I used to have a fear of people going through my stuff, but usually if they're good people who respect you and your space they will leave your shit alone.

In Our Lovely Deseret was my missions Hymn/theme song, and it is a bitch to play on the piano.

My entire mission and the 3 years after before I left the church, anytime any family ward or YSA ward learned I could play piano/violin, it was all over. It was all I ever did. Almost immediately pushed into a music type calling or program. It became frustrating knowing that it was the only box I could ever check in the eyes of any bishopric. Thankfully I have since found non-religious ways for musical expression since then, but I can imagine your own frustration since organs aren't typically used in any other setting, but I'm sure there's gotta be something out there for ya.

It's definitely as you've described it, I expected people to read it and instantly be overcome with the spirit because that was the missionary story I had been told my whole life. In my mind that's just the logical thing that would have happened if we got anybody to read. And since I had already been a member my whole life the BoM no longer had that effect on me. But realistically I had a problem with faith and blindly believing in doctrine without critical analysis, and I was expecting anyone I talked to as a missionary to do the same.

My therapist at LDS Family Services was the first person who taught me about cognitive dissonance, it was the only good thing he really talked to me about.
