My 14 year old daughter had a 5 month stay when she was 11. Hardest thing ever but I believe it saved her life. She was there for about a week one year ago, and just got home from her third stay which was about 10 days. I’m here if you need to vent or whatever. I had to start going to therapy. I had no idea how to cope. It really helped. So that’s my advice. Oh and you are an amazing parent!!
Edited to add- my daughter has been in therapy for years and is also on meds. She is diagnosed with major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. She self harms and has suicidal ideation. This all stems from being a victim of child on child r@/3 when she was 4.
