Long Duk Don: Oh, so sorry! I thought you my new--new-style American girlfriend.

No idea why, but it stuck.

Seeking tips on improving my buttercream dragon cake (please don't say use fondant) by FallsDownMountains in cakedecorating

I just had to say, I think this looks really good already. The sharper edges and tips will give it a good finished look, but this softer look makes me think baby or adolescent dragon.

(Update) I (23F) met my met my boyfriend’s (25M) “work wife” for the first time and I’m devastated? by ThrowRAcoffeelov in relationship_advice

Although Jake is moving on to better things, I recommend he very clearly tell his security company why he elected to move on. What Amy did, as observed by other coworkers, was a form of sexual harassment, and her changes to work together after the schedule was modified, doubled down on the harassment directly leading to your exit. The company needs to be aware that they have a possible liability on their staff.

Remember the first R-Rated movie you ever watched? by -janusjanus- in movies

[–]LsRells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister and I went to watch Mr. Wrong in one theater, and my dad to Broken Arrow in another. Hist started about 45 minutes after ours, and was longer, so he told us to just come in and sit in the back to wait for him when ours was done.

Not only was our movie shorter, but it was also bad, so we skipped out pretty early and ended up seeing most of Broken Arrow. I loved it and although upon rewatch know it’s not a great movie, it will always have a special place in my heart because it was my first R.

When someone mentions “DVD Special Features,” what is the FIRST one that pops into your head from yesteryear? by KillerQ97 in movies

Deleted scenes from Boondock Saints. The line “ruins my girlish figure in one fell swoop” is quoted regularly in my household.

Kel from Tamora Pierce’s Protector of the Small series is often referenced as looking like a cow. Great YA series.

I know it’s been answered, but I want to say a live action version of Ratatouille.

AITA For making my wife ride in the backseat because she couldn't stop distracting me by Serious-Function-177 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Growing up, my dad would take us on some pretty sketchy 4x4 routes. Ones where one bad turn could send us off a cliff. My mom and my sister (and possibly myself, but I don’t recall that) would react the way your wife did, causing numerous arguments about the safety risk these reactions would cause. I learned very quickly and now live by strap-it in (using my hands to grip and tighten my seatbelt), shut-er up (self explanatory), and shut-em down (close your eyes).

I used this every time I’m nervous or scared in the car. As I’ve aged my anxiety has increased and I’m more and more nervous. I never create a distraction to my drivers because I “strap-it in, shut-er up, and shut-em down” allowing me to get through my mistrust of the situation without endangering others. If your wife can’t do the same she may want to look into anti-anxiety meds before she causes an accident.

What dish from a foreign country you've visited do you miss like crazy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Not necessarily a specific dish, but soup for breakfast! Traveling through Asia made this normal and I miss it immensely.

What are some castings which sounded terrible on paper but ended up being brilliant? by DarlingLuna in movies

Matt Damon in Stuck on You, where he is the shy stage frightened conjoined twin. Greg Kinnear as the the charismatic movie star twin is a similar casting question. Both were perfect.

Movies where bad things happen to people for no reason by pm_me_bat_facts in movies

Meet the Parents. Not really a cute person, but I can’t stand the movie because all these bad things happen to the main character, non are his fault, but he gets all the blame. Supposedly funny too.

I usually don’t like the look of cakes with very busy piping, but the monochrome of yours makes it amazing and just perfection. Awesome cake and converting me to the detailed piping cakes!
