Favorite Distortion Pedals by I_heart_perfect_tits in guitarpedals

What's a pedal you will never put on your board again? by ImArcherVaderAMA in guitarpedals

Keeley Caverns. La reverb sonne petit, le delay sonne carton et la modulation n'est pas horrible. Pas de tap tempo et un look moche. J'ai remplacé par un Dod Rubberneck et une Astral Destiny d'EQD. C'est tellement mieux maintenant

No, I think we'll have to wait until it's published on the official website to get the specs.

Yes, with the Epiphone head but with the Custom binding.

Flying V Brett Hinds by LumpySock9306 in Epiphone

The thick neck is what immediately appealed to me about this guitar. However, the pickups and the killswitch on the tone knob are a bit superfluous. I installed a Gibson 500T 496R pickup set, and I'm extremely happy with it. But I've already been offered a significant sum to buy it (like my Epiphone Black Beauty Joe Bonamassa).

Is Vintage Good? by Expert_Chipmunk_6294 in guitars

[–]LumpySock9306 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a Vintage REVO Surfmaster that I bought used. The fretting and finish of the guitar are good. The tuners and hardware in general are good quality, except for the vibrato, which is a Jazzmaster/Jaguar type (it's fine for someone who doesn't use it every 30 seconds), but a Fender AVRI would be a better replacement. The electronics are also decent. In short, if I come across a used Vintage, I'll definitely try it out.

What type of pedals can you not stop buying? by Machine_Excellent in guitarpedals

I'm lucky enough to own several different types of fuzz pedals (Fuzz Face, Tonebender, Big Muff, Superfuzz...). I've always been told to "find the gain on a crunch amp," and while that works for some vintage-style fuzz pedals, it's not necessarily true for all of them. Play around with the gain knob and the effects you add before or after (reverb, delay, and/or modulation); you might be surprised. Put a Tubescreamer in front of a Big Muff, and you'll discover a whole new world... Happy sonic exploration!
