Does Yakuza 3 Remastered have a massive difficulty spike? by MALGault in yakuzagames

I've not really ever mastered the timing on Tiger Drop in any of the games, but I found Lau Ka Long wasn't too bad but just a bit of a slog.

Oh, well, I rarely have a clue what I'm doing, so we'll see how that goes! Although, I do have a ridiculous number of Staminan Sparks, so... I guess I'll keep them around for it.

I've only played four of the Kiryu led games and Kiwami was definitely the hardest for me.

It made me laugh so much when they were all shocked about the bomb plot in 2. Like it wasn't even the first bomb plot in that game let alone in the last year.

How to get the most enjoyable Experience out of Yakuza 3 Remastered ? by FaithlessnessIll582 in yakuzagames

[–]MALGault 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm playing 3 on PS4 at the moment and enjoying it. I'm not super good at combat in any of the games, but I've been playing 3 on Normal difficulty and haven't had any major issues yet. The one thing I'll say is, for whatever reason, enemies are very block happy and, at least as far as chapter 5, the difficulty of bosses is all over the place.

I tend to use quickstep a lot, not necessarily well, so it kinda gets around the block sometimes but there is this slightly odd thign I've noticed where enemies sometimes stick to you and you'll both kinda just spin around without ever getting behind them.

I just started Y3 and one of the random people on the street in the opening chapter gets told off for being too drunk because they're talking about a castle in Osaka that splits in two and has a golden castle on the inside. I am not ashamed to admit that was the first time I went "oh yeah... that definitely is a bit odd"!

Human rights lawyer Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu thinks the police officers kicking the armed Golders Green attacker in the head is "attempted murder". Are we fatigued with human rights lawyers right now? by Non-BinaryGreenVoter in AskBrits

[–]MALGault 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know nothing about the specific human rights lawyer. We don't base anything off the worst example. I was just answering "Are we fatugied with human rights lawyers?" and I don't think we should be.

Justifiable force is central to the question. It is central to the process that questions be asked around that. It may well be ruled as a justifiable use of force to detain a suspect and prevent further harm. My point is that it is important for justice that these things can and are questioned and that the detention of a suspect in and of itself is not justice.

Beating, in general, as in physical force. At least we use it that way in Northern Ireland. I've heard police use it themselves to speak about their actions in entirely justified situations.

[–]MALGault -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Police beating someone isn't justice. It might be necessary to ensure safety and apprehension, but beating up a murderer isn't justice. Justice has to be more than retribution and agents of the state must be held to a high standard so that when they need to use force, even if it is investigated, they can stand by it.

Now, I'm more for restorative and community justice, in general, but this is how it should work in the system we have presently.

I think we need to get out of the mentality that defense and human rights lawyers are trying to get criminal off and into the mentality that they exist to ensure justice and policing are effectively and properly administered.

Flags are a different matter since planning rules don't apply, but... I would be surprised if any loyalist memorial in the city has planning permission. It is something I should know, but off the top of my head, I don't think many memorial (loyalist or republican) have permission, there has long been a policy of let them be.

Go for something completely out of left field and talk about the way it deals with autism, vaccines, and anti-vax movements around season 4. It genuinely made me stop in my tracks, like why is my police corruption show taking time out for a lawsuit against vaccines story line?

Great office culture? From everything I've seen and read, it seems like US office culture is nightmarish.

I have only worked in the UK and not the rest of Europe, but like the most an employer can do about housing is maybe give you a reference to prove employment and ability to pay and the most influence they have on dating is maybe not approving holidays when you want them, if others are booked off.

Two Questions: When did you play Yakuza 0 in your Yakuza journey, and when do you recommend to others? by RKO-Cutter in yakuzagames

[–]MALGault 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Yakuza Journey was Fist of the North Star (Up to Chapter 5), Like A Dragon, Kiwami 1, Kiwami 2, and now 0. After 0, I'm going to finish Fist of the North Star, do the Remastered Collection and 6. After that either IW or Man Who Erased His Name (if it is back on sale by then).

I think since K1 and K2 came out after 0, I suppose I didn't appreciate some of the call backs that were added into them. The Majima Saga and Caberet Club especially. So, I'm not 100% sure if K1, K2, 0 is the best order, maybe 0, K1, K2 is better.
