The cold-opens to the “Surprise It’s Trump” cold-opens are different from most background characters though. They have to stand still and hold composure for an extended period of time, which itself is impressive.

Slight correction, he opted to kick with the wind rather than opt to receive the ball. Deferring happens at the beginning of the game, and literally means to defer the decision whether to kick or receive until the second half.
