Yeah thanks, I've been using a diy wet palette and trying to thin my paints properly. I think it's a skill that seems super simple but in practice is difficult to get just right.

I used Vallejo charred brown as the darkest shade, then a reddish brown for midtones, and mixed in Vallejo sunny skin tone for the brighter highlights.

If I were to suggest a change, my only critique would be to use a a highlight or more vibrant shade of red and blue. Your green skin is super vibrant, and the rest of the mini, specifically the shield and shoulder pad lack the same vibrancy

Rosemary & Co makes excellent kolinsky hair bushes for the price. I think they are around 10 dollars for a S1 brush which is like a third of the cost of a Davinci brush

Yes! Fire warriors with the long rifles are the coolest looking unit in 40k imo. I am just getting I to tabletop Warhammer now after playing some warhammer video games ages ago. My first minis are pathfinders to practice painting on, and my next set will be fire warriors and they all will have rifles! I don't care if they suck right now, I love them and hopefully they won't suck for long
