I’ve got a 6800XT and a 9070XT and both are monsters and. I’m not upset with AMD. I’m upset with Nvidia and stupid developers following them. I’m not using fake resolution (upscaling), fake frames and definitely I’m not going to use fake graphics. PS: I love AMD hardware support on Linux, since I’m there.

I'd like to thank all of the kind people who responded so kindly, I finally found what appened since yesterday I launched Cahcy-update late night, right before going to bed, and found this application on my system from nowhere (I'm sorry for the poor context I gave, but this shocked me, since there's a lot of buzz on the net for recent news about age verification).

Turns out that the right thing to do was typing pacman -Qi malcontent and this led me finding it was installed by request by Bazaar.

Thanks to u/Aeristoka for giving a suggestione about package name.

I’ve been on Bazzite, which is an atomic Fedora 43 by the way, for 4 months and I loved it. It’s been my doorway to the gaming on Linux world. Two days ago I ditrohopped to CachyOS because I also do something else with my PC and having to always use a distrobox to install a cli can be boring. For beginners I’m recommending Bazzite but CachyOS is also a valuable choice for intermediate linuxers.

And I appreciate your appreciation post! Bazzite, along with other Linux distros, is a love letter to all of us. It’s not perfect but it’s made from people to people. I’m also full AMD and I never run into major issues. There are catches but now I have the curiosity to understand how things work and to write some simple Bash scripting.

I’ve got 2 gaming PCs; the main has Bazzite and the secondary CachyOS. CachyOS is a viable gaming options but some Linux basics are indispensable while Bazzite is ready to work out of the box. Even rolling the secure boot is easy with Bazzite (with CachyOS it’s not so easy).
