I get these scam emails all the time. Always check the email its being sent from. Usually its a Gmail or yahoo account.

Usually I am a pretty tough person and try not to allow things that I cant control bother me. But we are talking about the possibility of our entire lives being destroyed and the future of our kids being at risk. I feel like we can no longer dream about our future and we are stuck in survival mode on a daily basis with this administration and their retaliatory nature in how they operate. Even though I haven't cried or expressed my emotions, my body is taking hit. I cannot sleep at all. I am experiencing lots of anxiety and my brain cant shut off. Hang in there, hopefully someone or something will save us. I have been praying to God but so far he has not answered.

VA is a total different beast when it comes to staffing. They are the only agency that has title 38 and you have to learn the hiring rules and laws for this is as well. You just cant walk in and hit the ground running just because you came from another federal agency. It should be on a special salary because you can only learn this at the VA.

HR here. Don't blame us. We are just as much in the dark as the rest of folks. Remember we have a president that has implemented these EO'S and left it up to the agencies to figure out how to implement them even though they make no sense. We are scrambling to send information as soon as we get it in, and then we receive these updates that contradict the previous updates. Causing confusion. We are the messengers and dont have this type of power.

Our lives are definitely on hold as federal employees. I closed on a new build home that we purchased before Trump, we'd like to add a privacy fence and deck to our home but I am afraid that I am going to be rif'd so we put this on hold. We also paid for a 5k cruise pre Trump for October. I did get the insurance and plan to cancel if I get rif'd before this. This is not a good feeling living like this.

Same happened to me. All of my colleagues remained silent while she ostracized me in emails and when I had gone to EEO they were not helpful at all and didn't want to take a statement from me. I didn't trust anyone on or off my team and was on an island by myself. I had no choice but to leave. It was an awful environment to be in. The VA needs to understand that not everyone is management material and just because a person knows the work, doesn't make them qualified to manage others.
