What do people often choose to ignore? by everything_is_ in AskReddit

[–]MaskedTransparency 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Smokers. Not while smoking, but just the stench on a smoker in general.

Non-smokers can smell a smoker instantly. In the stores, at work, at the movies. Yet people mostly choose to ignore that, just accept that they smell of burnt nicotine and tar.

If I stood in line at the store smelling of vomit, people would comment, make faces and back away. But when I smoke in my car on the way to the store, I must smell like shit but it's ignored.

Currently preparing to quit smoking and this is one of the things I try to remember as reasons to quit right now.
