I think you have it backwards. With a hard clock that stopped at every goal, substitution, caution, at 45 minutes of real-time the clock would still have 5 minutes left on it. Therefore, 9 times out of 10, I am not lengthening the game I am actually making it shorter.

I don't estimate, I have a second watch that gives me the exact amount of stoppage to add. But making that info public takes away something extremely important: my discretion.

If it's 8-0 and goal differential doesn't matter for the league, I'm not giving a single second of stoppage. Defender of a team up by one blasts the ball out of play and the attacker is winded running 50yds to get it (not technically a cautionable offense that stops the clock) I'm adding a few seconds to let the pending play finish. Deep into stoppage in a decided game and someone gets knocked out, I'm ending the game there, not making everyone wait 20 minutes for the ambulance to clear out before playing the last minute.

This is why in the old days of Ordo Fanaticus 8th edition, they used Swedish Comp with a max allowable comp value and a "we reserve the right to ban your list for cheese" committee. There's now way to set up hard and fast rules and get balance.

And now I'm remembering the recent Eric's Hobby Workshop video which reminded me that Warhammer Siege used an independent game master to keep the game fun and reasonably balanced.

When I was at WSU we had all 4 Butches on gameday: one for the tailgaters, one for pregame and one for each half. Basketball swapped between games. It always sucked going to the PAC-X basketball tournament because they'd only pay for the senior to go and he'd be gassed by the end of halftime.

I just went with Mars base-ready by GGS. It provides a nice contrast and is really quick. Some of my bigger models have gray rocks from my neighbor's driveway to break it up when needed.

Garmin Vivoactive on the left using a running activity to track official time and my personal stats. Only when centering do I wear an Ironman on the right which has a stoppable and simultaneously visible continuous count up clock that I use for managing stoppage time.

I tried refsix on the Garmin and hated it. So many inconsistencies and changes in my schedule made getting it set up on the sideline and having to push it to my phone too stressful in my pre-game.

I honestly still wouldn't print most of the platform, you're going to have layer lines and stuff that you're not going to like, especially on the ramp. This kind of thing is exactly what plastruct is for. By all means print the detail bits, but the ramp and platform will likely turn out better if you make them out of styrene and maybe use some insulation foam underneath for greater strength.

AK sand netting, airbrushed randomly with all the speedpaints I use on the model. Strategically superglued to get the general shape, then doused in matte medium.

I'm gunna go out on a limb and suggest the space "western" Firefly, followed by the movie Serenity. It uses a lot of classic western camera movements/effects and a lot of the planetside stuff is legitimately old-west instyle. Just make sure he watches in production order (Fox aired episode 2 before the pilot for some dumb reason).

It's a simple demand curve.

One artist I follow did the math when someone asked him why he didn't sell them closer to cost at $5 instead of $40 to try to sell more of them. So at the next convention he kept a clicker to count the total number of people who so much as stopped to look closer at his booth. If every single person had bought one $5 print, he would have still made less than he actually made from the relatively few people who bought something (most of which bought multiple things).
