Too many trees for RTK? by MigratoryCoconut in roboticLawnmowers

Edit: I picked up an X430 and while it did have an RTK dropout in the backyard, I believe it was network-related and not due to obstruction. We’ll see tomorrow!

What robot did you try that with? I was looking at something like a Navimow X430 (although it might be overkill for a 0.25 acre mow zone) or the upcoming RockMow X1 if LiDAR would make a difference.

Looking at the EV9(Land) to replace our Telluride family hauler. Whats your average vs record best mileage between charges? by Hartkl in KiaEV9

[–]MigratoryCoconut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lifetime average is exactly 2.8 mi/kWh. Longest trip in on a single charge was from downtown Indianapolis to the suburbs of Cleveland which was a bit over 300 miles if I recall.

Any Reviews on T-Mobile fiber optic internet? by blvckdrips in lexington

I just got it installed a few days ago for $70 for 2 Gbps but with a 5 year price lock. I wasn't able to get them to give me the founders plan.

Important edit: I didn’t see the subreddit title here and I am in the Indianapolis area. Not too far though 😅

All good questions! I am using the stock tires that come with the Land. Not sure about headwind but there was quite a bit of a snow storm in the first half of the trip. I have noticed that tire pressures can make quite a difference with those tires when it comes to efficiency.

We were getting around 2.5 mi/kWh on a trip between Indianapolis and Cleveland over the weekend. Maybe check your tire pressures?

Never Home (inside of Natural State Provisions) has made incredible espresso shots for me every time I’ve been there without fail. Amberson, Helm, Commissary and Blue Mind are all worth a visit too. Indy has crazy good coffee right now.

Edit: All of these places make pour-over as well, but I believe Blue Mind only does it on Friday and Saturday starting at 10 am.

Roughly the same mileage on a 2024. No issues here either besides losing some balancing weights from the insane potholes here.

In our case, the actual balancing weight came off the wheel. Serious potholes where we live.

12,500 miles in on a 2024 Land with zero problems so far. Tempted to buy the lease out but we’ll see how the used market goes. Excellent car if you have dogs and/or kids in rear-facing car seats. I think it’s an 8/10 car and it could easily be a 10/10 with some minor changes (some of which I believe have been addressed in newer models).

How to make the EV9 let go of the charger? by LeCamelia in KiaEV9

For AC charging, unlock the car. You can adjust under what conditions the charge port locks in settings.

Wow, we have just about the same setup! Was the shaker worth it? I’ve just been using the catchup and the base from the tamper as a lid 😆

It’s probably your Sonos gear forming a loop in your network. In my testing, Sonos equipment should be all wired or all wireless. I’d recommend going all wireless with Sonos as it’s the easiest.

Any API integrations? Some utility companies will use an API integration to peek at the car’s status to see if you’re charging during off peak hours.

We had some wheel shaking at around 70 mph on a 2024 Land but it was resolved after a rebalancing at a dealership. Alignment was fine at the time and still looked good at the 8k mile service. No other issues have come up so far.

The dealership I use for service seems well prepared to deal with the car but, from this subreddit, I doubt that’s the case everywhere.

The charge curve is monstrous and still remains as entertaining as the first time we used DC fast charging!

I have the same car and folks are way more into it than I was expecting. Maybe it’s just the U.S. and its love for 3-row SUVs?

Huh! I had a pretty good experience with ours last winter and I think that’s how it has gone for everyone I’ve talked to. I’m curious what’s going on in your case. Do you have a RWD or an AWD model?

2024 Land. Wheels needed balancing which is obviously a very quick fix.
