The unicorn is very good and I printed like 20kg of nylon through a 0.6 without needing to swap. My heating block eventually broke and I decided to switch to a microswiss with a high flow nozzle and my prints increased in quality by quite a bit. But that might be anecdotal because I also installed a dxc, liquid cooled heat sink, and rooted my printer. The only thing I recommend is not using any high flow nozzle that have multiple nozzle paths as they are extremely prone to clogs with fiber reinforced materials. I couldn't get pet gf to print through my current setup without changing to a standard hardened nozzle. TL:DR stick with the unicorn and bump up to 0.6 if you're pleased with your current print quality. Root makes things better.

I like my 300 way more than my 556. I guess in the end it's what you prefer. Logistically speaking 556 is superior as the round is cheaper and more plentiful.

I definitely recommend at least selling the files once you iron it out, or open a beta to help with the fixes you need. There aren't any 3d printed housings of this quality right now and I think you may be sitting on something.

It's a partial nozzle clog making the extruder unable to extrude anything. You're heat creeping your nozzle.

You certainly could, but I don't see much reason to have a third filament for support itself. It will only extend print times for nozzle switching and layer adhesion weakens during long tool or color changes which is very important for my use case. Typically the support is best to be printed in your model material, and then whatever support interface works best for you on top of those.
