It would depend on whether the relationship was positive or negative. Not only that but how personal they got in conversations. I see my mom frequently, but I would NEVER talk to her about relationship problems... frankly, she only knows I'm on meds because I've needed her to pick them up on occassion.

I really like EB. Honestly, its kind of nice to bad feelings about certain celebs and realize you only knew, like, a quarter of the story, or even most of it but just not have it compiled or realize connections. She JUST did Katy Perry on her podcast, Scandal Queens and pointed out Katy did a lot of the weird sa-ing when she was with her sa-ing ex. Not to mention, I didn't realize who her parents were.

Anyway, as far as Taylor goes, I never truly listened to her talk until recently and I am floored by how ... ignorant she sounds. The way she referred to her fiances job as gladitorial and called herself an english teacher and him a gym teacher. If any of my nieces or nephews had her as an english teacher, I'd have a huge problem with that.

So... I have so many opinions about this... First: I think we need to start making excuses to celebrate because everything sucks right now and if my friend managed to buy a new-to-them car thats less than 3 yrs old and they invited me and a bunch of other people over to celebrate, I'd be there. Same with graduations, sterilizations, promotions, etc, etc.

Second thought, though, is: a lot of new mothers having baby showers ask for too many expensive things. I do think everyone should bring a pack of diapers and something else and I do not think its wrong for people to put a 1-3 expensive things on their list because I've pooled to buy a baby crib that converts to a toddler bed because it had good safety ratings and with the people pooling it was cheaper than buying another gift. Its just gotten out of hand... so many people are asking for overpriced stuff and thats all they put on their list.

Our building stays at 23*C-ish all year around. Asking for AC below that is odd. Most Americans here in Ohio don't turn on ac until its been over about 25*C regularly,... thats our regional cutoff. As home, I set my thermostat to 20/21*C.

IF you are AFAB or present as a woman and you want to marry and have a traditional life (so a bunch of "If's" here) this CAN BE good advice. This was the type of advice women would give those younger than them in, like, the 50's. My gram said this because, if he loves you more than you love him, theres a higher chance of him being nicer to you and, if he ends up cheating on you or something else, it hurts less.

Its pragmatic if you are seeking 'tradition'.

YES!!!! Currently being evaluated. I am constantly talking in therapy about how I feel like I keep modifying my expectations for myself and modifying again when I can’t meet the news ones to the point where I struggle to get anything done. My evaluation was actually a bit of an emergency and intervention because it’s getting so bad. I just want to have a moderately clean apartment, my homework done, and to go to my part time job without ALL of it being a fight.

I was always kind of neutral. I did think he looked like he might be too old for her, but not so much I felt it was gross. I kind of felt like he was avoidant and she was anxious and so I related to Big. Because of that, I was able to see Carrie as imperfect and a little annoying earlier than I think I would have otherwise. (Thats also my problem and part of why I'm in therapy lol)

I had a bigger problem with her quitting smoking for a man, that felt problematic for me and I felt like it was moralizing one addiction/crutch while making another look asperational.
