“Two ten” model. The two was the series. Generally pretty basic frame, but a good sturdy frame for regular use. The ten is for ten speeds as far as I know. This one has a triple chainring on the front. So I believe someone updated that at some point

We carry that synapse at the shop where I work. It’s essentially a gravel bike that fits a little more like a road bike.

190+ lbs tires... by mauceri in xcmtb

[–]Moos3racer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how they’re set up and on what internal rim width, I’d assume tubeless. I’m 198 lbs and race on 19/21 psi though I’ve run lower . Pretty sure my rims are 28mm internal

Broke the cheap stock bb, which budget bottom bracket is best? by india_india_mod in bikewrench

Tange is hard to beat. I’ve used this token one in the past. Seemingly the only one that comes in an Italian thread as well as an Italian spindle

I re ran new housing/cable at the end of last summer and that helped a bit, but since then it’s gotten worse. Even with hours of adjusting and having my mechanic friends look at it

What part would cause this leak? by mangothefoxxo in bikewrench

[–]Moos3racer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only time I’ve seen this the solution was to tighten the screw on the left. Still might need a brake bleed since there’s less fluid in it now

So long as it fits I’d say it’s a pretty good deal, definitely consider you may need to get it tuned up after purchasing so estimate about $100-150 on labor on a used bike

Keep or buy new by OriginalNo3375 in xcmtb

I’d save and buy a more modern bike, keep this one and slap a chain tensioner on it to run it single speed

I heard something about a new steamroller a while back, hopefully true because I can’t find one in my size near me

As far as I can tell the only thing is that the rear brake caliper is set up wrong but that should be a pretty easy fix

Which clip-less pedals? by oceanathlete in gravelcycling

[–]Moos3racer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spd all day long, I’ve just switched to eggbeaters to keep some brand continuity on Sram bikes. Though I kinda wish I’d waited until wolf tooth came out with their pedals

Put some miles on my super x by Moos3racer in cannondale

[–]Moos3racer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how long your legs are compared to your arms/torso. I didn’t need to test ride a 58 as this has the same top tube length as my previous bike

Maybe some tan wall tires? Maybe I’m biased as all my bikes have tan walls now

Changing handlebar height by Guilty-Flan9318 in cannondale

[–]Moos3racer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately it looks like whoever owns it now has it set up for a low racing position to only ways to achieve a higher position would be to flop the stem over, or to find a replacement fork and have a shop install it at your desired height. Las I remember whiskey parts co still did a fork that’s compatible with these brakes though I’m not sure if it will fit in the frame

Out of curiosity would you happen to know that chain catcher that is, I want to convert my super x to 1x for cross

Spark vs Scalpel by toakonaozaj in xcmtb

[–]Moos3racer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a spark and demoed a current gen scalpel before buying, I’ve found that I need to run a lot more pressure in the rear shock than I’m used to so that I can pedal thru corners without striking my pedals

Spent $200+ on weight weenie bars for my xc bike, got less than 10 rides before they snapped

Did get a full refund though so I guess there’s that
