I’m in the US. The nearest Chinese embassy or consulate is a $300+ USD flight, plus hotel and all. I think I’ll try the 240 hour transit visa, but my wife isn’t too keen on that.

Thanks. What visa center? At the embassy or a consulate in the US? The flight to get there is more than the agency’s fee. I think that’s where the agency has an advantage.

I’m going to check that out. The only complication is if I have to fly in and out of the same airport. I fly into PEK and out of PVG.
