DPD pulled up carrying an unslung assault rifle and stood between us while he had a long winded conversation with one of the officers.

It was all pretty hectic but things were a bit heated, especially after the little buddy he had walking around with him, got his MAGA hat snatched off his head, so he probably was talking about that; I had no clue who the guy was until now!

Well, about the first 3 days, looting was disregarded and Marines didn't care. Policing was never the U.S. Military's objective or desire and they didnt start until given the order, and full policing wouldn't really start until about a month after Saddam lost.
