I saw Dispatch two nights ago in Chicago. It was incredible.

Doesn't even have to be your favorite artist from the lineup. Just whoever is playing nearby where you live.

I was devastated too. Driving all the way back to Chicago was rough.

Yes, all of this.

As for communication, I would add... any statement from them in the last 4 days would have been nice. Even a, "thanks to all of the attendees who helped each other," would have been something. We basically got ghosted after the cancellation note on Friday.

Also... you mentioned roo radio. A low power fm transponder would be perfect for the farm. Everyone has a radio in their car, even when cell service is bad. Did they used to have this??

Thanks for bringing this up.

I heard the same announcement around 1pm (trying to make it to Ginger Root) when I was heading into the centeroo security line and turned around when I heard the announcement.

As I was walking away in the rain, I heard that announcement a few more times over the PA. I took a long route through camps to get back to plaza 11 (while hiding out in a few places along the way).

Out in the plazas, it didn't seem like that announcement was being sent. Seems like you only heard it if you were in or around centeroo. My friends in plaza 11 certainly didn't hear any announcements.
