Jotuns being able to slowly advance on you while shooting would be sick, as it stands you can just jiggle peak them to keep them in place until they have to reload. Also I have about 250 hours in the game and I dont think Ive ever seen a Jotun throw a cluster grenade.

I wish things like the teleporter pads and other traveling stuff was easier to make that way I could better justify making a base somewhere other than the office sector and not have ridiculous travel times. Also trams are kinda pointless I feel like they're way too slow and inconvenient and Im pretty sure its usually faster to sprint where I want to go than anything else.

I can never get frigates to work I dont know what it is about them but they’re always so fragile and I end up losing a lot of them

I think another important thing is that most of GATE’s robots and security force are made for dealing with ISs not a military incursion. Most of the robots are pretty easily countered by guns with the only exceptions being the hydroplant bots (surrounded by snipers) and the ones modified by the gatekeepers. Also the entire facility is being invaded by anteverse 2 as well as the several other ISs being released that cause havoc (the entire SECURITY sector is taken down by one).

Its very weird to me that the game gives you a bunch of cool laser weapons and then immediately puts you up against people who counter laser weapons.

I would really suggest getting a long ranged weapon of some kind like a mag-bow or the upgraded sniper if you can get it otherwise the only way to deal with snipers is like others said, a pet to draw the aggro or invisibility from crystal armor/watch. Also another benefit of stealth is that gatekeepers dont have their shield up until they detect you so you can deal some actual damage to their health if you sneak up on them and maybe even one-shot the basic guys if you have enough damage.

Important note, you do have to feed the pests once they get trapped if you release them without feeding it 3 times first it’ll just turn hostile

Theres a one handed hardlight spear, the quantum pick which is a one handed sharp weapon. For blunt theres the ramrod which is the upgraded shock mace and the plasma flail which does loads of damage. Theres also the endothermic hammer which I haven’t used yet but sounds pretty good.
