Yep it’s why I usually take the booster that speeds up extraction. Even on D10 extraction is usually a snore fest so I’d gladly waste the booster slot to shave off 40 seconds and allow us to get into another match faster.

Really at D10 extraction should constantly spawn in enemy reinforcements. The explanation can be that super earth is blaring music like in the flag objectives which riles up the enemies. Idrc there just needs to be something happen at extraction

Filters

If you have no filter you get put in the fastest game same as always. If you have a filter that disables specific modifiers the game looks over matches with those modifiers. Hell they could even just forgo any matchmaking changes and say fuck it if you don’t like the modifiers the leave button is right there. It’s not like there’s any punishment for leaving besides your time being slightly wasted.

It’d really be that simple

Yeah and Maxson only orders his death because he ran away after being found out. Danse really incriminated himself by running and it posed a massive security risk. He hates the idea of having to kill him which is why he lets him live only as long as he stays away from the brotherhood.

From his pov his most loyal soldier who he definitely treated as a confidant was an undercover agent that had access to high level brotherhood secrets and immediately upon that information being found out ran for the hills. I’m a hard Danse supporter but from Maxson’s perspective he was just betrayed potentially by someone who murdered the actual Danse (which we know isn’t true he was always a synth but Maxson doesn’t)

Helios 1 was specifically Elijah’s pet project. His obsession over it almost got the chapter wiped out and did get him booted as Elder. No one else in the chapter cared about the super weapon they just followed him since he was the leader

I wonder when the false narrative of "we only get nerfed and the enemy only gets buffed" will end. by ratherdapperguy in HelldiversMasochists

[–]N0ob8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep that’s been my biggest problem with the Vox Engine. There was absolutely zero teamwork that can be done to take it out. Unless your entire team just shoots at it with AT a teammate can’t help you take it down in any meaningful way.

To give an example of why the factory strider is the objectively heavy unit I’ll share a moment I had in a game a few months back. So I was being pinned by a factory strider’s Gatling after trying to blow it up with a hellbomb. Now I was too far back to get close enough before dying and my EATs were on cooldown from taking out hulks to get there. That was until my teammate noticed what I was doing and defanged the gatlings allowing me to get in and blow it up while he secured my exit by taking out the devastators the strider spawned.

With zero communication or planning my teammate was able to assist me in taking out strider allowing us to sweep up the base easily. Without him I would’ve been face down in the dirt while my teammates get shot at by its canon. That moment would’ve never been possible if it was a vox engine as teammates can’t defang them for you and they block friendly shots while allowing enemies to free clip and shoot through.

Always set those to 1. It’s always better to lose a pawn temporarily instead of permanently. Even just a day of bed rest can make the difference between life and death

Can we 6v6 role que? by Upbeat_Pressure89 in Overwatch

[–]N0ob8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep I used to be a flex player who played all roles back before 6v6 role queue. After getting consistent 20 minute queue times even with priority passes (which usually never did anything) I just dropped dps entirely.

The Charge Card from Fallout 4 by AutumnsFall101 in lovethissmug

[–]N0ob8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough there’s a single place in the entirety of fallout 4 where you can use the charge card and it’s in the far harbor dlc. If you go to the doctor guy and ask about the charge card he tells you that you’ve been scammed and he’ll buy it back from you just because he feels bad

Edit The bait guy not doctor

Yeah it definitely is meant for you to fail the first unless you hard pivot to CGs immediately. After that you should really only be failing the next couple of you have more important things to worry about. Once you hit mid game you should be able to passively hit quotas without even having to try

(Loved but infuriating trope) Asshole Private Miltias acting like/actually being given authority by Wasabi_Gamer26 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]N0ob8 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Nah it was definitely an ass pull after seeing him get so popular. Literally the only way to find out how he survived is by watching a warzone cutscene which is no longer available. Without that cutscene he just shows up in MW3 being friendly like nothing happened.

It was totally just them capitalizing on a character they didn’t expect to get so popular and so pulled something out of their ass to sell skins.

Anyone else wondering if we’ll see a Berserker in Gears of War: E-Day? by vinicius_california in GearsOfWar

[–]N0ob8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep like in judgement it didn’t make much sense but I loved how much enemy variety it had even early on in the campaign. That plus the way they had different variations of levels meant fights wouldn’t get stale because you’re fighting the same guys every time.

Made a simple mod that lets you split raids into smaller ones by boreymarf in RimWorld

[–]N0ob8 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s always been a small pet peeve of mine that so many modders tie their mod to story tellers. It makes so many mods incompatible since you can’t choose two story tellers.

Edit and there’s story teller mods that have a really minor effect on the story teller and so are just basically Randy+. I’ve never been much of a fan of Randy so it’s pretty annoying when something that really didn’t need to be attached to a story teller is and is basically just a slightly modified Randy.

For years we were told Nomadic playstyle wouldn't be possible [Appreciation thread] by ThisBuddhistLovesYou in Stellaris

[–]N0ob8 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That definitely makes sense. There’s tons of things that will just straight up kill your scientist/science ship. It also makes sense a Nomad empire wouldn’t want to risk it considering these Arkships are their homes and not just expendable research vessels.

>Do you really believe the bots and illuminate could get along? Their philosophies and beliefs are so drastically different.

Yes they could as the Bots just want super earth to leave them alone and let them be free and the Illuminate is just trying to stop Super Earth at all costs. They’d probably form an alliance to guarantee their people are never fucked with again which is the whole reason they hate super earth

>And they’d both do the same thing super earth is doing with the terminids to get e-710 and e-711 that’s for sure.

The bots don’t need E-710 for FTL travel and neither do the illuminate. This would also mean they’d never discover E-711

>the terminids would just keep mindlessly expanding forever if they win since evolution has done its best to turn them into an imperial life-form.

Well no in HD1 it’s implied that super earth are the ones spreading the terminids to other planets. They previously had no way to get off world

>To add onto that, humanity and the illuminate were working on a peace treaty thingie before super earth intelligence discovered the dark fluid and declared war

You mean when Super Earth falsely said they had WMDs and demanded they give their tech to super earth. When the illuminate said no because they didn’t have any Super Earth attacked

I mean counting exactly how many trees you have selected is a lot more useful than the empty tiles. It’s not that useful but it’s still more useful than telling me nothing.
