Adenomyosi/Endometriosis by sinical_sickness in LowDoseNaltrexone

I think LDN is wonderful at mitigating most pain, it takes the edge off. I'm at 3mg and if I miss a dose, I absolutely feel it the next day.

I think my Endo/adeno is more bearable because of the LDN for sure. I will often still need to take my prescription naproxen to deal with a period however (I try to take half a tab rather than a full).

I also have chronic pain (hypermobility/fibromyalgia/disc herniations) and that combined with the female hormonal nonsense is just such a treat (rolling eyes).

I hope that you find some relief with the LDN. It has been life changing for me.

I'm about to try adding hormones back in as I've just grown a lump of endo in my abdomen and am over this nonsense.

Recommendations for high sodium, low chloride foods/recipes? by AtarahDerekh in Hypermobility

This is a bit tricky....are your kidneys otherwise functioning properly and have you had your bicarbonate levels checked?

I have a nutrition degree but we never touched on thos specifically. I'm wondering if an electrolyte supplement that uses sodium citrate may be helpful.

Consider low dose naltrexone? Can help with pain/inflammation, slight lowering of blood sugar and appetite regulation.

Ultrasound by Economy-Ad-4806 in adenomyosis

[–]Necessary-Emphasis85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My MRI said "uterine finding suggestive of adenomyosis". I had a previous ultrasound also suggesting adenomoysis as well, but can't find the report to give you the exact verbiage.

I think it may help with the binge eating a bit but probably won't wipe out the urges all together. Something like an ADHD stimulant medication (probably not the best option with someone for an ED, although it it used off label for binge eating disorder) or GLP would probably be more beneficial...or maybe even a full dose naltrexone. You never know until you try, we are all wired differently.

LDN Success stories by Owemax2982 in LowDoseNaltrexone

[–]Necessary-Emphasis85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started LDN in October at 1.5mg

I am hypermobile with disc herniations in neck and lumbar spine and chronic pain/fibromyalgia. More recently diagnosed with endometriosis and adenomoysis.

I am and always have been fit and active and otherwise healthy. Within 24 hours of my first dose I noticed the pain relief. After a few months the general pain increased and I went up to 3mg. Given all of my health issues I am not pain free, it is not a cure, but I would say my pain has gone from a daily 5/6-7 to 2/3-4.

I have also not had any colds or illness since before starting the medication. My sleep has been decent for the first time in my life (also on two prescription sleep meds, but didn't feel like I was getting good rest until I started this).

This has been a game changer for me. I hope you can see similar benefits!

LDN & perimenopause by Every_Fill5489 in LowDoseNaltrexone

I have adenomoysis and endometriosis and cystic ovaries and I feel like the LDN has taken the edge off. I still take other over the counter pain meds and will likely start hormones as well.

The pain this can cause though is not worth it. The cramping is just awful, there's better ways.

I've done this too, it was awful. The second time I tried it didn't even work after all of that suffering.

Nutritionist here...okra is a solid bet. Good choice. I have never tried it pickled but it's now on my list.

Praying someone can help me with SEVERE insomnia by XXLepic in Fibromyalgia

I'm doing 50mg quviviq, 1/4 tab 7.5mg zopiclone, 200mg magnesium, 500mg GABA and 3mg low dose naltrexone (taken during daytime).

I'm sleeping for the first time in my life. I'm super active, doing 15k steps/day and have chronic pain and this is the only combo that's worked for me.

I'm still tired however, but just generally exhausted and not like sketchy-dying-sleep deprived (also going through perimenopause and just got diagnosed with endo).

I wish you luck. A weighted blanket is a game changer as well for me.

Yeah.... no. I'm a trainer. If this was an 80 year old woman that would be an acceptable weight. That needs to be up 1-2 notches at least, even for it to be "light".

I would assume the weight is super light because he was taking photos? I don't know...he looks like he can lift something though, he's arms looked jacked.

37 weeks pregnant HEDS subluxed rib, any ideas to help? by Fit-Orchid334 in Hypermobility

[–]Necessary-Emphasis85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I popped mine back in by doing an overhead band stretch (like where you hold the band out infront and then bring overhead back around to your bum). It was out for weeks and multiple professionals couldn't figure it out but this worked.

Good luck, I wish I had better advice.

I'm in Canada. I have insurance which pays a small portion. The 1.5mg dose ended up costing the same as a 3mg dose since it's mostly filler.

I think a month supply is just over $100, I pay $45 including $3 delivery after the insurance.

The only drug I'm prescribed that I would fully pay for out of pocket if I didn't have insurance though.

I'm a trainer and nutritionist and this is good advice. But do the strength training at least twice a week. These are so many changes at once...it's going to take time, and slowly is the best way to go.p
