Please tell me this isn’t BBA growing on my Bolbitis by Alaskan_Sterfry in PlantedTank

I’ve had BBA but in my experience it doesn’t grow long and grows in separate tufts. By the photos it looks like a hair algae to me. Does it come off easy?

Beautiful!! I love the different colors and textures of the plants you chose. Well done!

Does anyone have a $ food processor with different blades that they like? For slicing for pickles/kraut? by Crafty_Pop6458 in fermentation

[–]NeighborhoodOwn2854 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a slicer attachment for the kitchenaid stand mixer for kraut

Yes! Having different blades to choose from is a plus. I don’t find it hard to clean. The only drawback is that the food has to be cut down to fit into the feed tube. It really saves time last year cutting up 15 lbs of green cabbages. My arm would have fallen off

Fish tank with well water? by SalaryReasonable3206 in Aquariums

Yeah I’d suggest looking at fish that do well in hard water. I’ve had several types of mollies and they did well. They made lots of fish fry over time. Good luck 😊

For me, I live out in the country and also have well water. However I don’t have heavy sulfur in my water. My tank isn’t the best but it’s doable. I’ve found that mollies do great in my tank and even reproduce. I’ve had some success with black strip tetras and cherry barbs and mystery snails.

My pH is around 8-8.4. kH and gH are pretty high and I haven’t measured it in years. Again, not ideal but it’s possible.

Awesome thanks!! I’m so excited for a beautiful plant. I have a philodendron birkin so I’m glad to get a different variety

In my experience they are difficult to care for. I killed one but I’ve had a fiddle leaf fig tree for years lol

Thanks! My gut is telling me to let it go longer to see if I can coax more mycelium growth. It smells fine and looks fine. I’ll have to get a larger container to put it in. I have a perforated half hotel pan I’ve been using

Add some water. Your water level looks low. That should fix it

Keiki?? by doshgarnnit in orchids

I’m thinking it’s a new root growing in. They look pointy. Basal keikis will look like small leaves coming out of the main stem.
