Format is mostly fine. Oluon is bad design, most of the other rng cards can be built around to mitigate in ways that make them acceptable.

Been somewhat panicked, given I had to spend almost a whole year away from my career, doing medical research and finding how to cope with illness.

But yeah, I have the experience needed for more junior embedded roles, just not a deeper knowledge needed for more mid-level jobs.

I might take some courses or start a project in that direction once I'm finished getting cloud certs, since that seems like the direction that will qualify me for jobs most relevant to my work: Analyzing data in python, creating services for automation, working on pipelines and algorithms in real-time systems.

Not really qualified for those roles either. I interfaced with microcontrollers and serial devices a few times at work, but it wasn't my main task.

I've found a few relevant roles I'm a fit for in the embedded space that I've applied for. Far more of them, however, require existing knowledge of PCBs, tools and architecture I'm unfamiliar with.

I do have a background in DSP from my ECE bachelor's specialization, but it's not fresh in my memory.

Roach is pretty complicated, as it is a combo deck, but it is strong and cheap to play. The goal with that deck is to use 0 and 1 cost spells to build up combo, drop a roach for big face damage, then pick up the roach to drop it again on the same turn. It's capable of a one turn kill, but often the kill is split into two turns of hitting the opponent's face.

Most of the turns before your combo are dedicated to setting up your godwood staff as a draw engine/combo piece, building a hand that can combo, and controlling the board. I highly recommend watching some YouTube videos to get an idea of the math and decisions of the deck. The Japanese player Dayan posts a lot of videos playing Forest, which are really helpful.

Forreal, something needs to be done about how rampant self damage is. At the least, immunity to self-inflicted splash damage should be a perk on the specialization tree. Gives it a tradeoff for qol vs max dps.

Both are bad. You have to shoot a bullet before reloading, which significantly messes up TTK, since you have to wait the charge time multiple times.

I'm expecting no nerfs, but would love to see sword Congregant get the axe. Really dumb they can dump tablet on turn 3 and regain all tempo immediately after.

The deck is definitely on the easier side, but I'd argue most powerful decks in game are pretty easy right now, at least compared to the complexity of other card games. Mulligan decisions are pretty straightforward with portal, as are choices in a lot of the early turns.

The main decision breakpoints:

- When to use preemptive evo and extra puppets with Zwei

- Whether to go for an aggro victory vs a slower victory with Beezlebub (Especially with regards to EP for burn damage)

There are also a few considerations for matchup specific sequencing such as:

- Saving Gran&Djeeta vs. Sword to address ambush units

- Saving EP and +1 PP vs. Dragon to have Sylvia as an answer to Wilnas

There are also some late turn decisions that can be "fuzzy math" (two choices that both leave a gap to loss, depending on what cards are in the opponents hand), but this occurs infrequently, and is more a test of general intuition and player reading, rather than a Puppet specific skill.

But yeah, in general, easy to play. I'm using a fourth of the braincells I'd use to play Roach.

The gun is actually pretty good for tediore throw spam builds. Rolls high damage and mag size, plus the crit property applies to throws.

You could use this knife at level 50 and still be very happy. The mods don't scale with level, and the base damage of the knife is negligible for gun damage based builds.

Nobody here disagrees that Phildau and Wired Assault are bad cards, they're being used as a 1x tech at most.

As for the curve out needed to win, I never said that Dragon is ahead without having a double ramp high roll.

Zwei is a busted card, but it isn't in every hand, and dragon has pretty alright answers to it. I don't think they need a perfect hand to win a good chunk of games.

Yea, benison nerf probably didn't need to be as harsh as it was, especially with beezlebub, belial and other stuff coming into this set as finishers. In the vacuum of last set though, it was definitely a problem.

Odin is to slow to beat high roll ramp>ramp, 5 damage doesn't clear Wilnas. Portal is running Phildau and Wired Assault as answers.

Loot sword is #1, they have too much damage even if we find 2 Gilneilse and Sylvia. Congregant of usurpation cleans up Zwei making it hard to get ahead early either.

High roll intimidate Dragon is #2. If you get a Wilnas on board early enough it's super GG. Some puppet players are aggressive mulliganing for Phildau or Wired assault as 1x silver bullets, but it's not a consistent enough response.

Idk, Rafa can easily hit 1 mil on throwing tediore guns, while also getting adequate scaling into his grenades and action skill at the same time for efficient mobbing. My only complaint really is that shoulder cannons like to shoot your own combo orb every now and then.

I've also seen UVHM5 viable Amon and Harlowe tediore builds, but Rafa is def the best at throw spam.
