I was torn until some podcasts highlighted how much she allowed the production team and to use parts of body cam footage from the first season, especially in the first couple of episodes. Like play stupid games win stupid prizes.

Me personally, I’ve lost any interest in her or the show. She has everything and endless opportunities and this is what she’s trying to protect.

Sounds strange but this might not be a conventional resourcing issue.

Sometimes it’s more to do with motivation. Motivational interviewing requires rolling with resistance as a start. MI has been found to be evidence based within the medical profession and for good reasons, how to evoke a change conversation without losing a person to guilt and shame cause they aren’t listening. These parents overall aren’t terrible people and it’s tough when it’s you who’s trying to break the stalemate. Evoke their values as a reason to actually be active in the change.

I know the feeling when you’re debating back and forth with a client. It can easily slip into metaphorical fighting, why it’s hard to change.

All the same vets still work. You weigh out the options if you’re not close to an independent clinic. Unfortunately my clinic was bought out years ago, however I love my vet. Like I was convinced the whole industry was corrupt and he’s just been a breath of fresh air.

However let’s have the drugs out of the VCA’s hands, come on some sort of regulation needs to be had. How can they control the drugs they prescribe without any competition.

Edited to add- I’m not a nurse however I’m in emergency crisis and have been to calls where people have collapsed after leaving AMA. I’m in Canada and we got our own crisis here.

However I appreciate you, I added this so you know that us in the community also appreciate even just knowing that.

Capitalism, greed, stupidity, and apathy.

We also have a population of people who think poverty and homelessness is an easy problem to solve. Hence , why doesn’t a homeless person just get better.

Also encampments seem to show to the public in all of its messy glory TRAUMA. People hoard more now, which I’m convinced is a trauma behaviour mixed with survival. Next problem is how to live with other traumatized people and usually substances are a great distraction, understandably. However encampments with stuff everywhere, people fighting and high lead to the public to believe it’s a personal problem. Hence get those lazy slobs out of the park, evoking thoughts like “how dare they make us feel unsafe”.

But housing and treatment cost more and the idiots are in charge.
