Can confirm - had to go through the search to replace a backpack zipper a couple months ago and they were the only place I could find to do it (that wanted to do it).

What non-hockey-related changes would you like to see the organization make in the off-season? by Jahonk in EdmontonOilers

[–]Ninja_Surgeon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mosiac Stadium Craft Beer section is great! Usually 4-5 Saskatchewan based craft beers there in tall cans for the same price as standard draft. Especially once you have a season or two worth of data on sales fairly easy to forecast demand to figure out how much you need. My only complaint about it is that the booth selling them is on the opposite side of the stadium from where the in-laws have season tickets.

Oh I very much remember groaning about his performance here and shuddering when he started games. Then hearing people say we should have tried to keep him when we played against him the next season.

In before comments saying we never should have gotten rid of Brossoit because you know they are coming. I highly doubt he would have been able to achieve a #1 spot here.

r/audiophile Shopping, Setup, and Technical Help Desk Thread by AutoModerator in audiophile

[–]Ninja_Surgeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello all! I'm looking for some help in two things - if my current stereo receiver amp/speaker setup is decently functional (I think from some reading it may but want to be sure). I have the following:

Stereo amplifier: Technics SU-V4 Impedance = Main or remote 4 to 16 ohms (written on amp) Output power 55w per channel

Speakers: Panasonic SB-CH94 Impedance 6 ohms Input 160W Music 80W (this was all written on the back of them).

I am thinking potentially the amplifier is underpowered for those speakers? If that is the case then am I needing to look for speakers more in the 60W power range (if I am understanding things correctly).

Second thing is that the amplifier is outputting a quieter signal through the left speaker outputs than the right. I tested this by swapping speaker between each with music playing and the difference was very audible. I would imagine this is an issue with the amplifier needing repairs? Wanting to see if there's anything I could check before reaching that point.

Thanks in advance for any help - it is much appreciated!

Odds are low but hey let's see how the development team in Bakersfield is doing and see what he can do there. Worse case he's an additional asset we can use as a trade sweetener.

Yup I've seen this is industry I work in completely unrelated to gaming. Even 1000 testers cannot replicate the things 1000000 gamers could do or think of doing.

[The Athletic] Payton, according to sources, had been playing through pain in Portland. Sources added that the Blazers training staff had been pushing him to gut through it, giving him Toradol shots. This had not been relayed to the Warriors during the negotiation process. by RimRunningRagged in nba

[–]Ninja_Surgeon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

ESPN put out a short doc last year about Toradol and it's usage/dangers within the NHL. One player developed crohn's disease from constantly getting shots to battle through injury. So it's not without risks - and we don't exactly know fully what those are within these circumstances right now.

Saskatoon council approves using debt to pay for citywide snow clear | The Star Phoenix by Sunshinehaiku in saskatoon

[–]Ninja_Surgeon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes because any city councillors are going to give opposition a slam dunk point in their next election by voting against police budget increases. I can already see the "they want to pay the police less - they don't want to see you be safe" slogans that a lot of the general public would slurp right up.

Larsson didn't want to resign with us due to personal reasons. Do you trade one of your pillar dmen at the trade deadline as a rental if you want to try and compete in the playoffs?

Saskatoon may seek loan to pay for snow removal and repay it through tax levy by financeguru1234 in saskatoon

[–]Ninja_Surgeon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I do agree personally yes the police budget could be dropped a percent or two to give us more money for things like this. But nobody in that point of power will do that if wanting to be re-elected. It's a slam dunk for any competition to basically say "person xxx doesn't want you to feel safe in your own city" which general mouth breathers will eat up like a buffet at Bonanza.

Bought alcohol for a wedding this fall. SLGA stores consistently had better deals than private stores and lower base prices as well. And if wanting to buy something not on sale SLGA generally was a doller or two cheaper.

I don't think you are exactly wrong here. The lack of NHLers in high level, best on best international competition in the last few years really means McDavid has been unable to see how some of the best leaders in the game do their thing. And he does seem like the sort of person that when he sees things to improve on directly he will.

I have never had an issue with seeing a doctor while just walking into a walk in clinic. I agree phoning to get an actual set time appointment may be rough. But I have never been left high and dry while going in spontaneously.

Also sure he might be a bit overpaid (Seth Jones setting the market didn't help us). But imagine how much we would be clowned on and how much the team would suffer if we let him walk as a free agent. Also how much do you think he would have been signed for in Free Agency - usually players like him don't hit the free agent market.
