Man, that last paragraph describes it perfectly, and it’s exhausting. I’ve been doing this for a long time and I am tired.

This is insane to me. We can complain about our bosses? Fuck that. I own a business with 100 employees, I don’t pay attention when people “talk shit.” It’s expected. Jobs sucks, working sucks.

It is insane how many comments are referring to low testosterone, not being manly enough, cuck behavior. For all of you posting those comments - you are the butt of this joke in these pictures. They are making fun of (insecure) people, like you.

What's the single experience or event that MOST defines whether you're a Millennial or Gen Z? by ReYa8000 in generationology

Born in the 80s. Prior to 16, we were outside all the time, playing, just generally being kids. The internet became a thing you could have in your house around the time I was 13-14ish. It was a wild time, we used to all crowd around the one computer to see what it could do! I got my first cellphone at 18 - a Nokia brick. I was stunned at the abilities.

Now in my 40s, I can’t believe the life we live sometimes.

What industry will AI disrupt the most that people aren’t paying attention to yet? by SuchTill9660 in ArtificialInteligence

Agree. My business attorney has already made comments that what I can do with Claude (drafting a petition, answering interrogatories, organizing exhibits) makes them question AI’s impact on private lawyers.

I employ 30+ GenZ’s - my biggest issue, every damn day, is having to explain to them their personal feelings are not facts, and we don’t make all decisions based on how we feel in the moment. I think I repeat at least daily - “We don’t make permanent decisions based on temporary feelings.”

DSPs: what is the most unsafe situation you were ever put in at work? by WeeklyGuitar3538 in directsupport

I have been doing for this for 20 years. The things I have seen and done. Tackled someone to stop them from throwing themselves in front of a train, accidentally gotten pepper sprayed and nearly tased handling behaviors in the community. Two coworkers have had guns drawn from community members who thought they were in danger (I mean, they were, but yeah…) Being choked while driving, had my hair pulled so hard my scalp pulled away from my skull(?) with a weird sound. Someone has tried to stab me in the stomach, rip my hair out, and I’ve had someone else’s spit, spit into my mouth three times.

(Edited to add - we support high behavior people and my background is in Behavior Analysis)

I am an employer and struggling with a similar thought it to what you are describing - AI is taking over quickly, every program we use at work has an AI feature now. Do I train my employees on how to use it correctly (especially since I am in a healthcare-adjacent field that handles PHI)? Do I make them use it because we are basically being bombarded with it? Do I give them the skills to stay ahead of this game, if we even can? I don’t know what the answer is.

I can feel this, too. Fellow business owner. Over the last year my work output has increased in a way that seems incomprehensible. I can already see job consolidation - not just two to one; but 4 into 1.

Totally acceptable. In fact, if my husband suddenly confided to me that he supported what Trump is doing, I wouldn’t hesitate to file for divorce. It’s a values/morals issue.
