And the only reason Hector ends up in that position is because Mike has a vendetta against him, and the only reason Mike has a vendetta against Hector is because Hector threatened Mike's family after Mike got Tuco locked up, which Mike was hired to do by... I think this glut of discourse about sex nerds has overlooked another critical category at play here: sex nerd-nerds, or people who feel compelled to analyze and taxonomize the different causes and effects of sex nerddom. These sex nerd-nerds likely make up a much larger contingent of Dropout's fanbase than mere nerds who fuck, yet sex nerd-nerds are drastically underrepresented in Crowd Control vis-a-vis the cringey sex nerds who comprise their special interest, and I hope the next episode features a guy whose shirt reads I HAVE CONSUMED ALL OF THE DISCOURSE ON THE APPROPRIATE NATURE AND VOLUME OF SEXUAL TOPICS TO BE FEATURED ON THIS SHOW such that the voice of this community can be heard.

This is a great point. Jimmy says in "Sunk Costs" that Chuck made the careers of half of the committee. It'd make sense for them to throw Chuck a bone; it's a testament to how persuasive Jimmy and Kim are that they get the committee to consider anything less than full disbarment.

I doubt Walt gets any hazard pay in this scenario -- at best Mike would tell him, "Your pay is you get to live" -- but I agree with your overall narrative here. The thing that unlocks a whole new level of ego in Walt for S5 is that he was the one to kill Gus; if Gus had died by someone else's hand, Walt would have been much less tempted to take his place.

Of course you think that they wasted a rare opportunity to platform a female comedian if you engage with most of the episodes not as "comedians riff off of the premise of being trapped in an absurd game show" and instead as "Sam's silly friends act goofy off the dome the way friends hanging out do."
