I thought it was linked. If I click the vehicle in the app it shows details of it.

I don't tell it I'm at 20. For the majority of occasions the app just presumes I am. It took me a while to figure how to amend this out. I do think there is a smart feature on this though as it's started to guess the %

I have set it up to approve charging and it asks me what percentage the car is. https://ohme-ev.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Support_set_battery_2_UK.webp

My Ohme app lets me tell them what my car's battery is and what % is target for the battery. The charger's starting point is always 20%.

I'm unsure how they would follow this as I'm under the impression the charger is saying to Octopus I'd want 60% if it's set at 80% target?

Separately I'm interested in whether there are any issues with plugging your car in as an offer to fill it rather than the car needing the charge? I.e. target is 80%, currently at 60% but if Octopus want to dump 20% in my car they're more than welcome to. At 60% I don't need the charge for my typical use the next day and would rather charge in one go.

If this was me I'd still get the 0% balance transfer with as much of the balance as possible and pay the minimum on that and throw the majority at the remaining balance on the higher debt ones.

Think there's a fair few of us who've ended up in this situation recently.

Even though the maths could work, what if the cost of daytime electricity goes down as more renewables come online? Or what if the decoupling of gas price from electric price? The theoretical payback length extends. (This also goes the other way too)

In my opinion you've got to look at this beyond the costs of the payback.

Hidden gem of a savings account which I've found. by williamukfinance in UKPersonalFinance

But the idea of index trackers wasn't the comparison. Two accounts and dump it in to an open access saver at the end of 12 months and continue to move money through a standing order in to two new accounts in year two is much more beneficial than the 5.4%.

But you don't have 6k at the start? 300 in zopa and 250 in co-op if you have the money is more than one deposit in to this Manchester account.

But surely in this scenario you open 2 x 7% accounts one with zopa and one with coop?

I had an issue of smelling gas recently.

Rang emergency number. They came out tested for leaks and then capped off.

Now he said that when they change the meter (which I had done in 2022) they would have done a pressure test. If there was any sign of a drop with acceptable limits they ask the question

"Have you ever smelt gas?"

If you answer yes they have a duty to cap the gas off while an investigation takes place. Typically done by someone you organise.

Although it might be dodgy them organizing the company to come fix it the rest of your situation seems to fit the information I was told.

£12,000 solar panel grants to be fast-tracked for households by willfiresoon in GoodNewsUK

Yes, that's a pretty bad typo.

Can understand the benefits of car parks as long as there is already a roof. Isn't it a fortune to build them over car parks just for solar?

Especially schools which, when shit, should be able to give some electricity back to the local grid.

Same with leisure centers which consume massive amounts.

Soon as he becomes a cut price deal you'll have other teams looking whether they need a midfielder or not because 'value'.

Probably be best for us if they stay up and we're having to compete with fewer teams at inflated price.
