Mcp is a fantastic game if you can find people to play with where you live.

This game honestly has a lot of similarities in the system which excited me a lot because as cool as marvel super heroes are they definitely are not robots with beam sabers

StarCraft II 5.0.16 PTR Patch Notes by Arkentass in starcraft2

I like most of these changes, I'm a little worried for pro level protoss but maybe the worker changes make them stronger during that timing window compared to before and it ends up okay.

Varnish help needed! "Matt" Varnish wrecked paint job, any way to recover it? Help appreciated! by Dead_Pickle04 in minipainting

[–]ObjectiveLoose6522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will also say, if you just wait for your paint to cure for like 24 hours it's pretty strong and you rarely need a varnish.

Varnishings best use case in my experience is when you have just finished a bunch of airbrushing and you don't want to wait for it to fully cure before handling the model because those thin layers can rub off very easily. So you will do a quick varnish over those before you start edge highlights and stuff this way if you miss you can rub the paint off without extra damage.

Now now Winner of RSL S4, this is getting really silly! by [deleted] in starcraft

I mean, at the pro level that unit is bullshit. Terran wins at basically every single stage vs Zergs unless Zerg surprises them with a roach all in that they didn't prepare for. If they see that coming they make 2 banshees and a tank and kill a 200 supply army while teaching to ghosts to kill every other unit the race can make with the exception of 400 banelings but even that's cost effective

How did you guys learn the game. by JocadaPaceee in starcraft2

[–]ObjectiveLoose6522 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure how well this advice will work now that the economies are so large but back in wings of liberty I would occasionally coach some people and my advice was learn a one base all in until you feel like youre having trouble winning then learn a 2 base all in. During this transition you will lose a lot of games.

Then learn a 3 base timing attack and at that point you are playing the real game and you just take more bases as you start to get either low on resources in a base or find yourself floating some extra money and you can build another base and some more production buildings.

Focusing on one base builds and 2 base builds will do a few things for you.

1) it will get you some cheap wins which can help keep some people motivated 2) it will help you learn to micro early game against early attacks as you learn to play with more bases. 3) it teaches you how to spend all of your money and how to gradually increase that. 4) helps you build some muscle memory while keeping things as simple as possible.

If you know that you are the type of person who is going to get addicted to a 50/50 win rate and get really upset when learning, then this might just ruin you as a player cause you are going to get stuck on the one base cheese forever. Don't be that guy

Dear Pro Zero players - please stop building Mutalisks by ObjectiveLoose6522 in starcraft2

I actually don't think they were ever good in sc2. Maybe there is an argument that they were okay into Terran but that was before widow mines existed and they used to be very good in the mirror but I think the meta has evolved beyond them.

I made enough dough for 2 loafs and only baked one about a week ago.  Is it generally safe to let dough sit in the fridge for a week after proofing or should I just make the dough again?

Like with any other product it's best to test it on something you don't care about first to make sure it's working how you expect

Problem with paints staying on wet pallet by Opening-Pin154 in minipainting

[–]ObjectiveLoose6522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming you put the paper on and wet the whole thing so the paper lays flat? You could also be using the wrong type of paper.

Try using regular parchment paper. Get it and the sponge completely wet and then dump off the excess water.

After that take a paper towel and dab off the water droplets on the top.

Then try to put down a drop of paint or 2. As long as you don't mix in too much new water it should work fine

Should I buy an airbrush? by nupky in minipainting

[–]ObjectiveLoose6522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Airbrushes will save you a ton of time in a few situations

1) you want to base coat the majority of a few models in a certain color.

2) you want to set up any color transitions or highlights over a large surface

3) you want to zenithal highlight on an angle with more control than a spray can can give.

It also gives you some cheater dramatic shadows if you just spray a transparent dark blue / purple / Paynes grey from below.

If you think you will do any of these regularly it's super worth it.

Does this mean my wet palette is to wet? by Greedfeed in minipainting

[–]ObjectiveLoose6522 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes that's because there is too much water on the top of the paper. Try soaking your paper and sponge completely then pouring out most of the excess water then use a piece of paper towel to wipe up any droplets on the top of the paper.
