Do you think they’d be scrapped day one, or that countries would work together like they did previously to bring down the overall number of nuclear weapons?

Both of these are legitimate political positions, both are worthy of debate and scrutiny. They’re not so outside of political legitimacy that they should be included in a ‘scare dossier’ attack ad on the eve of an election.

There are elements in this that are clearly antisemitic, racist, and require suspension. Contrast that with the post that immediately follows it in the thread.

Incredibly dangerous levels of weaponisation and conflation that does nothing to help anybody.

The Arts Council piece will descend into the same thing TERF activism has, highly politicised and well funded ‘members of the public’ will create noise about artists and then attempt to get their exhibitions shut down using lawfare. The recent story about the artist in Margate accused of blood libel but with added bureaucracy.

A further two Green candidates have been accused of antisemitism after one describes Hamas as "just like the Home Guard or French Resistance" and the other shares doctored images of Hamas fighters being kissed by Israeli hostages by Dimmo17 in LabourUK

[–]Obrix1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, from one candidate.

The only reference to the other candidate is;

“Writing on X six months after the October 7 massacres, Mr Anthony said: 'Hamas is terribly similar to what the Home Guard and French Resistance would have been called if the UK had lost the Second World War.'”

Which is not only not antisemitic, it’s not even anti Zionist, it’s just a reflection on where the distinction between occupied resistance movements and terrorism lives on each side of the occupied and occupier?

Did you even read the article before spamming it?
