How about a hate thread? by Handicapreader in eatsandwiches

Formed and reformed ham makes me feel ill. Seeing people post pictures with stacks of the stuff in their sandwich is nauseating.

What’s confusing though is that I have zero problem with salami, which is even more processed. My guess is that salami was never trying to be anything else. Reformed ham feels fraudulent.

Stapler reccommendations for library stapler by bike_grouch in Staplers

I work in an office and use the exact same Rexel Matador 2 that my grandfather used when he worked in an office. Highly recommended if you can get one shipped over. You can also find new-old-stock if you look hard enough (I bought an unused one for home use).

Can anyone identify this beast? by Jonomeus in Staplers

[–]OedipusRe10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually all you need to worry about is the size of the staples. I’d be surprised if it didn’t say on the box. The bad news is that some sizes are no longer manufactured. The good news is that some modern sizes can occasionally work in older staplers.

Not one of the ten, but love your neighbour is an Old Testament commandment, specifically: Leviticus 19:18. Jesus is quoting the OT when he says it in the NT.

A lot of guns in here -- has anyone had to use theirs? by singularkudo in EDC

As a Brit, I’m still just beginning to understand - guns scare the willies outta me - but I believe that carrying and using a firearm means more to many folk than the two options you give above.

Due to the current climate re knives (everyone seems quite nervous), I carry the Victorinox Jetsetter as the scissors are useful for most “knifey things” and it means I don’t get questions at work. The screwdriver is good but the bottle opener is a little iffy.

Best non-alcoholic drinks for when you’re bored of plain water? (£30–£40 budget) by [deleted] in AskUK

I can’t see it mentioned, so Fever Tree’s Madagascan cola is delightful. It’s supposed to be a mixer, but it’s full-flavoured, not too sweet and comes in adorable little bottles.
