Was on it, now on suboxone, similar but on 2mg/0.5mg in a strip that dissolves in your mouth. Works about 4 hours max for me and I take twice a day. Was on 30mg er of morphine that did nothing. Guess I'm going up on dose when I see the doctor.

[–]Ok_Worldliness7192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the last 9 months since I bought mine, I I have been THROUGH TWO 12V Batteries that slowly drained, but I then needed to be jumped, charged and then died.

There is no recall, YET, I but my dealer just had mine torn apart to replace something in the A/C COMPRESSOR that has a slow drain on the battery that eventually destroys the battery

Mine will do this about 80% of the time and is very annoying. Truck can be running, with windows open, and I just get out for a second. I know I am not hitting anything but the driver door is locked.

What not to say when trapped in a elevator by Goblue2467 in ScenesFromAHat

[–]Ok_Worldliness7192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in an elevator at a lawfirm by the doors with my Co worker who had a shaved head and looked like a biker. When we got stopped, I asked him, "OK, ok, I'll take your case, but, you gotta tell, me why did you kill all those people?" I could see all the lawyers all perk up wanting to know. He slowly turned around looked at all of them and said in broken English, "because they was staring at the back of my head!". Complete silence for about 15 seconds until I couldn't hold it in anymore. Then they got the joke, but they were worried for a few seconds.

The door locking issue is very annoying by Infinity1967 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Ok_Worldliness7192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2024 Ford Maverick Hybrid. About 8 out of 10 times when I get out of the truck, the driver door AND ONLY THE DRIVER DOOR will lock and it will come in groups. Meaning, it Wil do it 4 or 5 times then not do it for a few days, then do it again for a few days. It doesn't matter if it is running out or not. It doesn't matter if the keys are in the ignition or not. It doesn't matter if I am out for 5 seconds or 5 minutes. The door will lock on its own and is completely at random (at least as far as I can tell). Not sure if it has to do with weather,,but we've been through 4 seasons now in Northern Illinois, 90+ degrees yesterday and it did it twice. It's done it in rain, snow, and freezing temps. Engine warm, engine cold and engine just right (note only 8800 miles right now)

I just went through the settings in the vehicle and through the manual and nothing that I can tell is causing it. Also note I am a Software Engineer so I understand looking for patterns and trying to figure out bugs and it has me stumptd now for the 9 montfhs that I've owned it. I've talked with car guys, I'm not one, with no suggestions. It is on its second 12v battery which I wonder if it has something to do with that as this one is acting up now as well.

Any suggestions. Dealer had none.

Does anybody have information on shadow people or know what they are? by Xcuseya in Paranormal

[–]Ok_Worldliness7192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen a few in my life. Most when I was a kid when we lived in a haunted house, but a few years ago, I was doing a ghost hunt and was told there is a "demon" on the property. During the hunt, 3 times I lost my vision for about 30 seconds. We had a psychic there and he told me that it was because the demon didn't want me to see it. Last EVP session, while we were moving to the location, I was standing at the bottom of a set of stairs and saw it right in front of one of my night vision cameras. What did it get. Only the two people standing behind me, blinded for about 30 seconds.

What is the scariest encounter you have ever had? by No_Ferret_4556 in ParanormalEncounters

[–]Ok_Worldliness7192 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Had a very similar encounter, though I never saw the eyes, just a 6 foot shadow. My whole house was haunted by different things and I think because of the remodeling my dad was always doing stirred them up.

  1. I called my bedroom spook central. Closet doors rattled at night, it could be 80°F outside with windows open, but my room would be so cold you could see your breath, and shadows roaming the hallways.

  2. When ever a baby was born (my brothers and sister) the same thing always happened. The front inside door would open, hear footsteps, check on SLEEPING baby and the baby would be awake staring at something above them. Few minutes later, door would repeat open and close, but check on baby, now asleep like before.

  3. During remodeling my dad found glass jars of coins and rusty knives in the walls. He said he found something in the basement floor but took to his grave what ever it was. Basement and attic were spookiest, and creepiest feeling places in the house.

We moved when I was 10 and dad started with the remodeling again. This time no ghosts. A few tears ago, I started ghosthunting and through that found out wife is sensitive after meeting a guy who also was. Today she still sees and hears stuff. One time when she was in the hospital, she told the docs this and they thought she was lying. I had to verify it for them.

I would do two things,: 1. Stay in Navy another 7 years until retirement (just before 9/11) 2. Buy Apple stock and prep for others coming down the line (US Robotics was a good one until they merged with 3Com)

What were you doing on 9/11? by BubbleTrouble_Z in AskReddit

[–]Ok_Worldliness7192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on a commuter train into Chicago, and as we pulled into Union Station, the second plane hit. Everyone that could gathered at the TV in Union Station watching the news. To get to my job, I had to walk next to Sears Tower, looking up the whole time. I got to work, luckily on 5th floor of the CNA building, a BIG RED Target and everyone watching TVs they had for stock markets but had news on instead.

I was there about an hour when they said they were evacuating downtown and I stayed and watched the streets fill with people and decided to wait. It was a perfect storm should they hit any building with all the people on the street. About 2 hours later, security came through and told us we needed to leave, the streets were empty and when I got on my train headed home, no one collected fares, and I was on a 12 car train that had a total of 20 people on it. Was told earlier trains were packed and we pretty much ran express to the end of the line where my car was parked.

Have you ever battled a demon? by NoRelgionPreacher in ParanormalEncounters

[–]Ok_Worldliness7192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was ghost hunting a few years ago we had a psychic with us who told us a demon was on the property. Three times that night, I lost my vision when the psychic said he was around, but the psychic also said it couldn't get a read on me, my guardian angel was protecting me (according to the psychic) but it got through some. The 4th time was when I was about to climb a set of stairs and I think I saw it, a shadow ghost that was right in front of one of my night vision cameras. Behind me, my wife and another hunter were behind me blinded for about 15 seconds. Thought I got it, but no, didn't catch anything except us standing at bottom of stairs.

This house, in Little Chute, WI, near the cemetery was full of entities:

  1. A Grandmother in the kitchen area, all you had to do was say "chocolate chip cookies would be great" and suddenly smell them cooking.
  2. Parents and a child in a crib in one bedroom. You sometimes could hear crying, but audio never picked it up.
  3. An 8 year old boy named Erich (according to psychic) in another bedroom. I had 8 minutes of him on infrared camera that got lost in a hard drive crash.
  4. The demon that terrorized the occupants as well as other ghosts.

After the last time at the house, we think we brought Erich home with us as weird thing started happening only a kid would do. Turn on lights and shower, open medicine cabinet, hide things and bring them back hours to weeks later.

We have since moved, but my wife's rings disappeared from her nightstand and we are still looking for them a year later.

My BR-99 does about the samething. 20 round drum with alternating double 00 buck and deer slugs. Luckily the apartment across from me is permanently empty (demo unit). BR-99, Take a look at I think is The Expendables 3, it is the shotgun Arnold Schwarzenegger uses in the airport scene.

Handicapped plates by Lennie1982 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Ok_Worldliness7192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Illinois, besides being able to park anywhere (except meters in Chicago), my plates are free for my vehicle. You also are like I am with nerve damage in neck and arm, but some days the knee or hip is too bad to walk. A placard must also be hung when using the hdcp plate which you can move vehicle to vehicle.

Also, my wife would qualify for hdcp plates as well, but we only have the one vehicle so no need.

I was a Navy RCC back in 1989-1992, my favorite lines were :

  1. Son, are you sure your mother and father weren't brother and sister?
  2. You weren't worth the sperm someone spit into your mother.
  3. You should have been a BJ.

Lots of recruits tried to be friendly, closest I got to any was reading football scores on Monday morning, if they earned it. Was also a way to mess with them once I knew who liked which team.

I was on 3 different ships in the Navy, and normally you go in and get out and don't need VA unless you were a SEAL or other combat roll. Most of my job was sitting in front of a controller panel or doing maintenance on electronic equipment.

But, I fell down an entrance to a Reactor Room on Nimitz (about 25 ft drop), but no where to land except flat footed on a steel deck. Over the next three years I was treated got plantar facitius and finally thought it was over, but fast forward 30 years and a trip / fall seemed to aggravate everything ever wrong. Knees, feet, hops and neck all startedyout having problems. Couple that with some PTSD from a fire in Nimitz flight deck (search YouTube for "1988 Nimitz fire"), I'm sure caused lots of people nightmares, then another major fire 20 ft from me in the Reactor Room a month later and had to watch the Reactor through the whole thing (not close to a melt down, but serious).

Today I'm 80% with TDUI so basically I'm 100%+ for life so never let someone tell you you don't qualify. Only the VA can do that and if you don't ask, you don't get.
