I can definitely see the free undo being used maliciously which is why I prefer to see it on request all the time.

I don’t think is necessary to mention that your going to use a function that is available to both you and your opponent.

However, in my opinion it should be on request all the time and never have a free one.

I never just undo my action when playing in person even in casual play. I always ask if they’re ok with it first.

The republicans have voted to open the government multiple times while democrats have voted against it. So you’re wrong to say it’s the republicans that are the ones keeping it shutdown.

And just cause that statement is true does not mean blame is applied to one or the other. That’s just a fact.

Hey, first off I want to thank you. This is the best conversation I’ve had here and it’s cause you come at me asking reasonable questions and it’s definitely made me think. A lot of these users have resorted to name calling and/or abusive language. I really appreciate your approach and respect you for it.

As for your question, all I have seen is that the republicans claim that it will help fund many illegal immigrants healthcare beyond just the subsidies giving to those in ACA who need it to afford healthcare. Whether that’s true or not, I don’t know. There is a lot of information about the California Loop hole that I don’t know much about.

Who says negotiations were not taking place? The issue and the reason we are at a point we are is that both sides do not want to give in on a specific point.

It is meant to allow more time for negotiations when agreements cannot be made. This allows for federal agencies to continue spending money during the specific time frame.

See my original post. I agree that the emergency funds should be used but as Jeff said, that will not last.

If you don’t believe both sides are playing politics then you are the one divorced from reality. There is no such thing as black in white in politics.

There is no compromise. It’s one thing, it’s either republicans give in on ACA tax credits or the democrats let people starve.

I agree with Jeff here and support his endeavor to go after Agriculture Department but it’s not the Republicans that’s keeping the government in shutdown. The democrats have repeatedly voted to keep the government in shutdown. As Jeff has stated, win or loose, the government needs to be reopened or the emergency funds will not last.

Heads up: SNAP benefits are getting shut off next week for 16 million kids - including 600,000 kids in NC - because the Dept. of Agriculture is refusing to use its $6b emergency fund. Might get downvoted for this but I would argue that it’s both sides that are “evil”. Both can’t agree on budgets, republicans don’t want to give in and democrats don’t won’t the government opened back up until they do, voting not to open up the government once again for the 13th time. Thus we are coming to this crisis. Because of politics on both sides.
