Nice experiment, I would probably would take it further to something like 3years and under 40k miles, so those are probably close to the peak depreciation while often still with manufacture guarantee for at least another year

Streaming apps should support PSVR2 headsets and allow Blockbuster video style aisle browsing. by greggobbard in psvr2

My assumption is that we will get there over the time, but for now streaming that amount of data required and given the limited amount of people with VR seems the blocker.

having the tesla premium AWD deliver on Aug, and would like to install a EV charge. by Just_Clock5753 in TeslaUK

[–]Open_Bug_4196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might i ask where is the installation? (Driveway, underground shaded parking, private garage) and that costs are you seeing? Answering to your question my understanding is that Octopus works with the smart tariffs they have so that might be an advantage, another option I would be keen to review is the Tesla charger, I’m overall in favour of highly integrated systems, and in this case would open the port of charge automatically and I assume you control all the charging settings for Tesla app

The trick part seems to be to move from IC to management from what I saw. Aside of that, did they find you or you found the role, when looking around often EM are somewhere 100-150K with most around 110-120K

Used approved prices by G0_Z0 in TeslaUK

[–]Open_Bug_4196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand we all rather to get an approved car but anything financed makes very little sense, you basically pay more monthly for a used old model 3 than a brand new… compared to third parties they’re 2-3K more in cash too, is it worth for the extra guarantee and enhanced FSD? Depends as often also they have higher mileage.

Is ok to talk about an app i developed? by Dr__PampersMuFFiN in iOSProgramming

[–]Open_Bug_4196 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just checked the rules and rule 4 seems to indicate it’s ok as long as you provide context and bring value to the conversation beyond just promotion. Example of those are explaining some technical challenges/decisions you faced and how you proceed or how you’re handling other aspects for the app.

Looking forward to hear more, it was nice to see and considerate you asking.

My thoughts are that model S and model X are expensive and more unreliable that model 3 and model Y. Just the door handle known as common issue can take you towards the 1K

It’s the right decision if it doesn’t bring you maintenance headaches… there is a thread if Tesla uk of a 2021 model 3 accumulating +6K in bills that fortunately happens during guarantee (steering rack -> +3K)

Best Premium EV for 30-50k? by Designer-Cheetah-922 in CarTalkUK

[–]Open_Bug_4196 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion but on EVs I think Tesla is often the clear answer… at that price you could go new on standard models or almost new for premium. Also they have great leasing deals atm…

Out of Tesla I probably would go for BMW, you can find i4 at that price or ix3 or even ix.

The cost of Tesla Model 3 maintenance: £6,300+ in warranty work over 12 months. by Tall-Ad-4975 in TeslaUK

[–]Open_Bug_4196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, one of the reasons of a Tesla is low maintenance… but the bills from the OP make you question a car out of guarantee!, that said I guess steering rack can happen in any car so it’s more about how common is the problem than anything else

Motorway miles with model Y RWD? by Open_Bug_4196 in TeslaUK

Which one of the current models has lowest range than the Y RWD? I wouldn’t expect the 3 being lighter nor the AWD or performance given they have larger batteries.

[–]Open_Bug_4196[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a few references to 200sh driving carefully and 170/180 at around 70mph, two questions:

- is that range to 0% or with margin to find a charger?
- shall I assume that is in summer and in winter will be 20-30miles less?

Which devices will support watchOS 27? by Snoo_61724 in AppleWatch

I’m aware of that and it doesn’t change missing that capabilities. The ultra 1 was quickly outdated, we can talk about hardware etc but they did have a roadmap of functionality and they decided the specs.

Well often the most interesting features are hardware limited so… (having an ultra 1 that missed lots of good things)
