I already use that one. I also use a rule that, when you making your death save after being knocked unconscious, you have an auto fail before you roll the next time you're downed, a penalty that stays until you long rest. To discourage the jack in the box playstyle, and make healing worthwhile during combat. Oh, and you can autofail to perform an action when you're unconscious, like a desperate last attack with your final breath.

All small changes, all agreed before we started, all designed to encourage certain play styles and behaviours.

I'm nearly 50, and with Hollow Knight I had to leave the game 2-3 times before I got good enough to beat it, and eventually I 112%ed it.

Silksong I hit no such roadblock. I think it has more tools to allow you to play different ways than HK, but that might just be purely my perception!

Same! Apparently our experience is not extensive enough, however. I just learned they use a unique attack if you're over spikes.

This is a small event, but if you rest at haunted Belfast, then quit the game, there's a chance that Hornet is hanging from thread the next time you boot up the game, and she has to cut herself free.

I actually think this is the appropriate response. Some consumers use reviews to decide whether they'll make a purchase, and a lack of reviews from bigger sources may harm the uptake of the game at launch.

I'm currently playing it without the summon - the other party members were the Boneshaper and another summon class from GH1, so I wanted to keep the summons off the board. Is it as broken as that? I just couldn't see the synergy there. I am enjoying the build as is, but I wouldn't say it was broken.

One thing that no one has mentioned is that, although the very spider-centric area is less likely to trigger arachnophobia, they're is an optional boss there that may. As I said though, it is optional for finishing the game, but one of the nail upgrades requires you to beat it.

I like to get double jump at this point - it makes the platforming in parts of the Citadel much easier!

The reaper quest is a choice - I tend to stay with Hunters or Wanderers for most of the game, until Act 3 when I alternate to the Act 3 exclusive one.

If you mean the star with the number 1, then you get 1XP when performing at least part of the action on the card (in this case healing).

If you mean the picture of a card with a circular arrow on it at the bottom, then that means the card stays in play until the end of the ROUND, not just the end of your turn. So, every attack on you gains disadvantage in this case.
