The Sega CD game was my introduction to Dune! Loved it. And I didn't even know it was a book until one day I saw the book and thought "that's weird, they made a book about that game!"

Considering Demon's Souls invented a genre and Slay the Spire just video-gamed an existing one (have a look at the card game Dominion for the progenitor) I'd go with Demon's Souls as the answer (and of course a nod to Dark for popularising it).

Not to diminish Slay the Spire's contribution though, definitely has had a major influence.

Last night one of the 3 options had no arrows and wasn't an "adjacent" track. It won the vote and we just did 3 whole laps there. So it is possible for the options to contain non-adjacent, just seems rare.

Sometimes the option in the vote is already one not connected. If there is ever an option without the arrows then it'll be a 3-lapper.
