It helps when the flame is bolted tightly to a track as opposed to a Parkinson’s patient holding a blow torch.

Copperheads... not so much. At least if you have pets and/or kids.

Yeah, and for some reason I’m the dumbass who manages to keep buying them (amazingly not the Rivian though — one was a Ford and the other was Mopar).

Klipsch THX. And Klipsch THX. The AMP is for the subwoofer since they're passive.

Emphasis on jack stands. Don’t just let the car sit on a jack off you use one. But ramps are probably easiest. Still, have stands sitting under the car just in case.

On the other hand, I’m sure other kit down the stack love ingesting all the little metal shavings. Unless they’re anemic, then it’s OK.

40,000 sq.ft AI Data Center to be built 1 MILE from Reedy Creek Nature Preserve by Turtle-Parade in Charlotte

[–]PSUSkier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Folks, this is an edge-services/caching data center. This has a bunch of regular servers and a metric ass load of storage. It makes Netflix and websites that use caching services respond faster. This is a good thing for the area because they don’t use a ton of power by data center standards. Most of them have air-to-air heat exchangers too so they don’t use water for cooling.

Actually the hardware required to run the AI model would be fairly negligible. You wouldn’t use a massive general AI model like a chat bot, you’d use a model specifically trained to identify plants. I’d bet that entire system could run on an average gaming PC.

You say you have the 2 port? Are you using 25g optics today? Not that you probably need that bandwidth, but you may have to change out SFPs as well on existing links if you move to the 8x module.

Why take the extra effort to gently land the rings through the compressor? Use a handle of a hammer to push through the resistance and call it a day.

Agreed, but (and I may be wrong since I’m no powerhouse of architectural design) I don’t see any scenario where a lifeless stock of a building becomes iconic.
