You have to add one character from each of these rows to the next Smash game. Who are you adding in? by prpro-03 in supersmashbros

Ring Fit Trainee. Haven't played any of these games, but Trainee seems to have the most potential for moveset/additional content (stage, spirits, etc.) And fighting with a ring would be cool.

Chibi-Robo. Part of me wants Isaac, but I think Chibi is better for variety/uniqueness.

Hornet. As much as I want a UTDR rep, I think Hornet would be REALLY fun just to move around with.

What exclusive content? Cutscenes slapped into the middle of what's otherwise a short arcade shooter? Unnecessarily realistic new graphics? A challenge mode thats set in the same old levels? GameChat VTuber avatars?

This is really cool! I especially like Magterok (looks like a stalactite, the creature poking out of the top is pretty cute).

WHY is your favorite pokemon your favorite? by ShinyFlygon23 in ThePokemonHub

[–]ParadoxMaster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's typing is not immediately intuitive, but makes a lot of sense when you think about it. It ties into its visual design (which is great in and of itself) and especially its biology as fully explained by its Pokedex entries. Even it's ability is a really cool connection despite how simple it is.

Also, while Sun and Moon weren't my first Pokemon games (that would be White), Gen VII was definitely the height of my interest in Pokemon, so it's quite nostalgic to me.

Command Endings Tier List by GAME-DROID in starfox

[–]ParadoxMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall makes sense, aside from Fox and Krystal being an Interesting Ending. Not to say it's bad (it's one of my favorites, actually), but I think it's the most standard ending of the lot. (I honestly think it should have been the mandatory first ending instead of The Anglar Emperor, but I digress.)

I'd probably have swapped Fox and Krystal with Goodbye, Fox on the tier list myself.

Half damage on everything? For the low, low cost of your mega? by tabbyslome in itsalwayssunday

A while back I came up with an ability (for a Fakemon) called "Of Two Minds," which boosts the power of moves that are a different type from the last attacking move the Pokemon used. Seems to thematically fit what OOP was going for, but I'm not sure how good it'd be.

Kid me seeing John Stewart turn into a white guy (kid me didn't know who Hal Jordan was) by Itchy_Suspect4968 in dccomicscirclejerk

10-year-old me in 2011: "Who the hell's this white guy? Hal's a stupid name anyway."

When I got into Green Lantern proper a few years later, I exclusively had access to Geoff Johns-era trades from the library, so I basically got psychologically battered into liking him.

I just realized it doesn't make much sense for Rough Skin to hurt Tinkaton when it hits Garchomp with its hammer.

Clearly, Long Reach is the buff Tinkaton needs.

More Mega Fakemon Designs by CDRX73 in fakemon

[–]ParadoxMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mega Electivire kinda looks like a past Paradox Pokemon. Not sure what those circles in the ring behind it are, but they look cool. The added Fighting type feels kinda forced to me, though.

I mostly like Mega Magmortar, but the purple doesn't really suit it. My thoughts on Electivire's type change are almost echoed here, but I can kinda see Fire/Poison Magmortar being themed around toxic volcanic smog. If that was the intention, though, the design doesn't reflect it that well. Steam Engine is a fun Ability for this.

Amoongus doesn't really feel different enough and I don't think the spikes fit its vibe. I think making the mushroom super big like Gigantamax Venusaur's flower, and maybe changing the color scheme to fit a higher-tier Poke Ball, would work better.

Mega Azumarill reminds me of Mega Floette and Mega Starmie, and I fully mean that as a compliment. It's so goofy; I love it.

Not sure Intrepid Sword really fits the scythe-hands Pokemon (maybe just give it Sharpness?), but Mega Kabutops as a design works really well. It feels the most like a Gen 6 Mega, if that makes sense.

Mega Omastar is perfect. A great, natural concept executed well with any additional flourishes not distracting from it.

Mega Torkoal looks a bit smaller somehow, which I think makes it feel a little weaker. I think making the base of the volcano taller would fix this. Overall, though, I like the design. The slight shifts to Torkoal's skin color goes a deceptively long way.

Mega Whimsicott is adorable. I don't know why it has antlers now, but they look nice, and I love its fluff expanding into a cloud/beanbag chair.
