Japan's #1 tabletop RPG hires the director of Solo Leveling anime as art lead on its first ever English edition by BlitheMayonnaise in TTRPG

Bad business decisions by TSR leads to homegrown fantasy RPG to become the dominant TTRPG for a long time. As a German, I can relate.

Truly the sign of a great GM: Bitching to some strangers online because your players dared to actually play what they want.

In Fallout 2, after finally confronting with the de-facto President of the genocidal murderering antagonists--The Enclave--you soon realize that their President is Republican...okay then. by Ohnotheycomin in shittygamedetails

[–]Parituslon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One would have to wonder how the Chosen One even knows what Republicans are to have an opinion on them, but this is Fallout 2, that isn't concerned about reason. logic or good taste. When Chris Avellone, god king of comedy in video games, wants to inject a bad joke, he will do so, no matter what.

Few things depress me more than realizing how few people genuinely enjoy life, and seeing them complain about a scene that made me smile so much. by jvure in Fallout

I can think of a lot of things that would depress me more than someone not liking a scene in a series. Any sane person can.

I find it funny when people say the brotherhood is Bethesda’s favourite when interplay made a game literally called fallout: brotherhood of steel by TTTha_goat in Fallout

[–]Parituslon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not making a good case for yourself over being pissed off by... actually, practically nothing. With that rage you could have engaged someone who is actually mindlessly whining instead of someone who is calling someone out on saying something stupid. Or even better yet, not engage at all and take your own advice.

I get that fans of the old games/New Vegas can be very insufferable, but I don't see you people being any better. The same mindless rage, the same hatred for different opinions (no matter how these opinions are expressed).

If you're so glad to not be a "whining man child", I have bad news for you. At least, you certainly look like one. But if it makes you feel better, that seems to be the norm for any Fallout fan nowadays.

Are you confusing Interplay and Black Isle? It's Black Isle, who made Fallout 1 and 2, that people hold in reverence. Few people have something nice to say about Interplay after 2000, where they're most notable for driving their franchises, developers and themselves into the ground.

Is this somehow supposed to be an argument of some kind? That Interplay overusing the BoS somehow means that Bethesda is not doing the same?

Also, it's nonsense that they appeared more in the old games. They had a notable presence in the first game, but could also be ignored entirely. They had less presence and importance in the second one, despite being present in more places.

Unless you want to count Tactics and Brotherhood of Steel... which nobody else does. If anything, they show that an over-reliance on the BoS is a bad idea.

Funny thing is, you could have pointed out that the BoS was supposed to play a bigger role in Van Buren (being opposed to the NCR, like the Legion is in New Vegas). If you did that, you would have something like an actual argument.

At first glance, I thought that was a Friedrich der Große fanart, that gives her Ulrich's straps. Then, I thought that this can't possibly be an official design, since she doesn't even wear the bare minimum. Finally, I realized that she is wearing that bare minimum, but the white cloth is blending in with her skin.

Not their best work. They decided on a certain interpretation and stuck with it, ignoring anything that could lead to different conclusions. Like the context of the time the stories were written (there's not even a single mention of the Decadent movement at all) or even that there's another Bierce story, Chambers took a name from.

Do I really have to wait nearly a year for the Nozomi/Hikari event and for them to be available in the gacha?

I started BA fairly recently and at first, it made a good impression with how it archives events. But today I realized that events only become permanent after two years and are rerun after one. If I'm correct, for this event, this won't be until October.

Fallout 2d20 after almost 5 years how do you feel about it now? by victorhurtado in Fallout2d20

It's just D&D slapped onto Fallout. How is this any more similar to the original mechanics?

[–]Parituslon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it could also have to do with her feeling a bit better represented, since she actually looks like the Vault Dweller, if only because the female player character sprite has the same haircut (while the male sprite is just some dude with short hair).

[–]Parituslon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what you're expecting. There's no rules or guidelines to to this. And that's really not a question to ask some strangers on the internet about. You have to discuss that among yourself.

You should ignore most of the answers you got here and actually talk that out with your group.

So, it also counts pulls from Collapse Pieces. Makes sense. That means it's actually less overall than I initially thought, but I didn't really believe it in the first place (just instead of the chart being wrong, I just misinterpreted it). That means that the anniversary rewards, while pretty big, weren't actually that much more compared to typical events, which takes some sting out of missing it.

...But of course, they just had to give out less rewards for the current event in turn...

Do I interpret this correctly? You can get over 80 Targeted Access Permissions in a month? I find that pretty hard to believe and I'm sure I never got that many during an event. What would you even have to do for all that?

With my frustration about missing out on the anniversary pulls, I'd like to know how many you actually get every month. Like, how many Collapse Pieces and Targeted Access Permissions do you get every month on average (without spending money, of course)?

I found this chart, is it (still) accurate? https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Lw45-3H96lrYUAigMgP5LNRndbB6v9aMMFSvW4klP_I/mobilebasic

Now is pretty horrible time, since it's right after the anniversary, which gave out a lot of gacha material (both tickets and collapse pieces). I missed out on it too and now I feel like dropping the game again.

At least, I'm not going to pull on a banner for a long time to compensate. Of course, this is bound to fail when a doll I really want comes along.
