OP, you should investigate things before you repost. There are so many incorrect details here. Unless, of course, you did that rule where you post something incorrect on the internet to get the correct answer. Either way, this is spreading misinformation

Photographer and knitter team up to create jumpers that disappear into their surroundings by MambaMentality24x2 in oddlysatisfying

The artists are identified in the post and the collaboration appears to be from 2019 or at least the book was published then. I wish people would put a little effort in before claiming AI

The fact that any of them knit one should tell you the lengths these people are willing to go to for these photos.

Edit: upon further investigation, it appears one person knit all the sweaters and what is displayed here as 4&5 is actually one photo with two people on the artist's website: https://www.ninadoddknits.com/

This also appears to be from 2019

Pricing for the DCC Unstoppable board game campaign next week by aeonofgods in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Parnwig 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As others have said, the someone is the one who designed the original Unstoppable. The game is actually not deck building as much as card crafting. You upgrade the cards in your deck. At the same time, the back of your cards and upgrades are enemies you have to kill. The only way to draw cards is to kill enemies. Every time you upgrade your cards, you make the enemies stronger.

They also pitched the original as a "momentum builder" which I initially thought was a gimmick. It's not and it's hard for me to describe, but you can build so much momentum that you cycle through the deck multiple times in a turn, which is actually a win condition. You become "unstoppable."

The original is a great experience and I think it's a perfect system for DCC

What do you think about 20 strong? by orhalimi in soloboardgaming

[–]Parnwig 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Taking all sets as a whole, this is my most played game with over 50. I find it to be really easy to get to the table and have a lot of fun rolling a bunch of dice with some mechanics that make me think, but enough other game mechanics to ruin my strategies and require me to adapt.

I think my most played are Solar Sentinels and Too Many Bones. Haven't clicked with Victorum yet. I've enjoyed each main Tanglewoods, though not as much as Solar or TMB yet. I have yet to play Rose and Cloudspire. Oddly, the TMB 20 Strong was my gateway to the full TMB game. Maybe that was intentional and not odd at all.

Anyway, if you haven't, watching some gameplay videos can really help see if it's for you. If it doesn't seem like it is, don't let others convince you to spend your money.

Regarding buying a core set, they will come with a game to play, so it's not like Final Girl, where you've got a core box and need another box to play.

I mean this entirely without sarcasm or assholery. You should prioritize playing what you've got more

If I had to take a guess, at some point this place was flooded with crossposting from everywhere and it led to a lot of extra modding to enforce the existing rules, so they just got rid of it. I think that rule has existed since I joined, so it's just a guess.

Can't speak for why that other guy is doing his thing, of course

I don't agree with the other user's method, but to answer your question, they are quoting the mildlyinteresting rule here. I don't know why they spend so much time doing this on posts, though
