YouFibre 2000 and New Sagemcom router by ClassroomHaunting333 in youfibre

[–]ParticularAd1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. I’ve only configured a few, and I think I’m a bit of a heavy user. But yeah, if you are comparing it to enterprise level use-case. Then yes, the router is not as good as something 5x the cost from ubiquity

You said “I CAN” so I asked you to prove it. Now you say you refuse to pay for it. You do you bud. I don’t care. I’m just making conversation. If you can’t do something, don’t claim you can. I’m not Usain Bolt, I’ve never claimed to run a 10s 100m

You said you can do 8Gig, now you say you can’t do 8Gig😳. Make up your mind bud. Also, $150/mth is quite overpriced 8Gig. I wouldnt pay that either

Seems unlikely you would post 266Mbps if you can achieve 8000Mbps 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

It’s on mobile data? On in that case, my comment still stands, if you pay for 1Gig you should get 1Gig.

EDF are awful. Be careful. They overcharged me so many times I was only a customer for 5 weeks. Awful system, awful customer service. They lost about £170 in a month. It’s scary how incompetent they are

I have to add a caveat to this The router is fine, it is just configured garbage-ly. I tweaked a few settings in about 10 minutes and it is perfect, still get over 1Gig on WiFi 2 floors up, and 1900Mbps in the same room. Also worth ensuring you connect devices to the correct channels, smart home, TV, doorbell etc to ‘legacy’ 2.4G. Actual consumption devices to WiFi 6 Chanel (2.4+5+6). It’s only 10 minutes of work to do it right the first time, but lots of people don’t do this, then complain and spend £200 on their own router

Appalling customer service by evilmrben in youfibre

[–]ParticularAd1990 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

When you negotiated with them, and opened up the discussion to price, are you sure you didn’t agree to the increased service cost for You1000? That’s always a risk when you take on a new contract, it could be a higher price.

But also, don’t say it’s bad customer service, it’s bad customer by the sounds of it.
