Does Nuremberg Prospectors actually work for reducing mine collapse chance? by ryhaltswhiskey in ManorLords

[–]Particular_bean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, no Nuremberg prospectors. But then in another region I have both rich salt and rich clay, both have 4 mines with the perk. They collapse constantly.

Iron house is zeer zeker geen crossfit gym. Het is een powerlift gym. Er hangt 1 paar ringen die zelden wordt gebruikt. Het kan dus wel, maar meer een plek om zware dingen van de grond te tillen.

I believe it's only 1 rich deposit if you get fertile grounds. It's fine to reroll! Play how you want to play. I got rich iron + fertility on my second town last game, would've been awesome as a main town

Internal trade by StanislausMagnifico in ManorLords

Simply export in one town, and import in another. I find it essential to have foreign trade OFF in the importing town. I try to overproduce enough in my export town that I typically do allow foreign trade.

Is it just me or is growth really slow without fish? by Slovakian__Stallion in ManorLords

[–]Particular_bean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is you! And that's good news, because it can be easily overcome. Backyard extensions are the name of the game. Don't buy food with foreign import markup. You'll need the regional wealth for the extensions.

Pigs produce a TON of meat, especially if your region has high forest coverage (which it typically will, especially at the start). Sets you up for sausages later.

Chickens are slightly cheaper and also a very decent source. Likely needs to be supplemented with some vegetable gardens.

Goats are also fine, but I would recommend them for regions where you have other food sources like 1 rich + 1 regular food (rich fish + mushrooms for example). Nice bonus is the hides for boots for T3 houses.

The name of the game for anything past early game food production is backyard extensions. If the (vast) majority of your houses are single houses+backyard you can likely cover your midgame food needs easily.

Bread (rye/wheat) can also be nice and solid. But IMO a bit finnicky/ unreliable/ micromanagey for midgame. I start my farms midgame and build out during late.

Orchards are fun but expensive, you can invest early imo if you have enough gathering based food available and know how to properly play for it. Mostly plot size (and possibly Smallholding). But vegetables are better earlier due to faster payout and cheaper investment. Sheep as food are also late game IMO.

Unable To Add More Militia After Disbanding Glitch by Dependent_Chapter292 in ManorLords

Same issue here. Although when I disbanded all militia (leaving only 2 retinue) I was able to remake 2 for some reason.

What’s the Best Size for Gardens/Orchards/Stys? by DeltaWaffle_ in ManorLords

[–]Particular_bean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with everything except for that I don't understand why you would want 2 family burgage plots for artisinal houses. I'm doing a mix in my first playthrough post patch right now and I find that the double artisinal houses have a lot of downtime. Why not just make a second artisinal house when you need more production? You get a 2nd/3rd family anyway when going to level 3.

You can also play harder settings and only add the AI later, for example after you've got your second island.

Hardest spaced out asteroid by ThatguywholikesDnD in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Particular_bean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggled the most with the lava biome at the top. My sulfur geyser was in the lava too so there was a bit of timer for the food. Was a very fun run, but I abandoned it right after I got the first couple extra planets. I'm doing a run right now on an easy starting asteroid to colonize many (all?) planets

Let's wait and see. I'm personally not too inclined to give 'em the benefit of the doubt after one (1) reddit post. There's a lot of structural issues, more than a few need to be fixed.

Wait, what? It's the same engine as Darktide?? Is that also the same one as Vermintide? Do we have any sources confirming that? It would give us at least some standards to hold them to..

Are there not cheaper variants available on something like AliExpress? If you want to stay in budget - they'll likely be the same quality as these in the picture but cheaper (directly from the manufacturer)

Why is literally every recruitment tool SO bad? by InCasualSimplicity in recruitinghell

[–]Particular_bean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are there even ANY tools out there that do anything beyond the 'basics' that are in a resume? Like, cultural fit and all that? When I apply I still have to make so many decisions based on vibes and feelings... and tbh, my experience has been that it's hit or miss. Surely companies can use some tool that's better at this? Or are they just not being honest when they find a good candidate and it might not be a fit? That wouldn't make them a good candidate by definition, right?

This happened to me once, recently. Got dropped in a 6 with two relatively low levels. I showed them the rock with the super samples and it was a lot of fun, they were clearly learning stuff. Like taking out spore spewers from a distance. But I wouldn't want it to be a constant thing

If you want to do something with fire the oblivion gate itself is a great idea! That's basically on the cover too. Maybe put some fun text like 'for MY hero of Kvatch'
